That was the most fun I ever had on BF2 R I wish you guys would bring it back.

I think it was removed before I started to play PR.

I think its coming back with the PMC faction.

It was removed for a myriad of reasons, it was unrealistic in a few ways and encouraged unrealistic tactics as well.

The PMC faction, should they ever be in game (haven't seen an update in a LONG time) should hopefully feature it.

seeing extraction back on 4km maps would be awesome. but wed have to change the SUV to an armoured vehicle, some sort of APC... a round would last much longer than in the past and would be very exciting imo.

It was removed with 0.6 and was later intended to be brought back within a wider Scenario gamemode, but nothing happened.

I would love to see two transport littlebirds in Muttrah city again, it just looks so nice, are there any Littlebirds in .95? by the way the USMC still uses Littlebirds all the time.

VIP mode should only be used in a CO OP game . .. It would end up Just like CNC and Vehicle Warfare haha not many people want to play or ENJOY playing that sort of gamplay. . . atleast with COOP its more like a training server and is meant for Fun things suchas VIP Mode . . . back in the day people im sure it was good buuuttt now i dont know how it would be . .

My good friend is currently serving in the USMC and while in the Middle east currently he is doing all type of mechanical work on the Hueys, and Cobra, and Littlebirds. He was describing the difference between working on these three. Thats my source not Wikipedia. What do we need to do to have Transport Littlebird back in Muttrah?

hueys do a better job. i wouldnt be against the inclusion of maybe one. but hueys are faster and less of a target. and if im not mistaken they may carry two extra seats? not sure. they were cool though.

I do not have the honour of serving in the military, but every source I find online and afaik every military advisor who supports PR agrees on the point of littlebirds.

I'm sorry but your word isn't going to change anything, especially in an incorrect thread. Get your friend to join the forums, contact a Red tag PR Team member so we can check his credentials, THEN maybe it'll happen. Not before.

oh man VIP was fun if you were defending, but being the VIP team sucked! it didn't really work out at all.

and the way PR is now, i don't think it would work, it was a bit arcadey (compared to how it is now) then and i don't think it would work at all.

but the idea of bringing it back in coop mode would be neat, but i imagine there would still be quite a bit of work to get a working VIP in the current PR setting.

Damn. When I first saw that vid a few years ago, I thought "wow, this is too exploitable". That was when I was just a n00b.

When the little-bird was removed i completely stopped using air-assets. It was by far the most fun air-vehicle to use. Perhaps the LB isn't used by the USMC but the USMC and the US army can work together and then it could be used.

I know PR is "built" on realism but the game wouldn't be fun if it wasn't balanced and had a lot of fun factors like a lot of semi trucks with artillery bombs attached.....being able to fight the chines army...as US. etc.

If you only look at realism the game wouldn't be so successful as it is now. The general player base would get bored really quick.

If realism is the only goal then a lot of changes should be made.

Gracler, make a thread rather than cluttering up this one a discussion on LBs doesnt really belong here.

Though I've made our stance clear, and its not going to change.
