Jallalabad dodgeness

I was playing Jallalbad last night for the first time and all of a sudden my frame rate completely died on me, I was sitting around 4fps.
I noticed it seems to happen only when Im parrallel with the Junk Yark spawn point...which makes no sense to me at all but thats what happens.
My frame rate over the rest of the map is 60 - 100fps and my system could run BF2 in its sleep so its not performance related.
Anyone else having the same or similar problem? Its not my favorite map but I would prefer not to have to disconnect from a server everytime its played....and it will be alot for a few weeks I imagine.
