tanks like the Abrams, Merk, etc. need 8 seats because it can be used to transport troops on top, when they engage players can just jump off. It dosnt make since why not add the seats, nothing wrong with that, right?

That is the reason why they don't have, that's why we have APCs..

1) players would only be able to sit directly on top of the turret because the turrets movement won't be limited by their presence (i.e. they'd enter the turrets geometry when it swiveled)
2) players would even on top of the turret be in teh way of commander camera and the 50cal
3) the crew would still be able to shoot through the players on top
4) this isn't WW2, I don't think that sitting on top of tanks particularly common anymore
5) theres plenty of alternative transport anyway.
6) this smells like a suggestion
