You should read the manual, there is a link. One thing to remind you is that you should practice more before you fly any aircraft in a live server. and here is the link if you insist not reading the manual.

Just like they do in the video...
It is better if you get a Joystick so that you can control your throttle...
If you don't have a Joystick, you should idle the throttle from a very far distance and if it was too slow, put the throttle full and use after burner until the speed starts going up then let go, and keep doing that...
If you were faster than 700, don't try landing, just put the throttle to full and use after burner and have another try.

100€ --> 72$
No... No, really not. Unless I missed an economical crisis in Europe, the Euro's still stronger than the Dollar =p Should be $140ish.

I myself dont recommend a joystick. the BF2 engine is not... very realistic... its simply not made for joysticks. Since landing with only keyboard was getting harder and harder for me as PR grew up, I first tried with keyboard & mouse. that worked a bit better but tapping the throttle during the approach wasnt comfortable enough for me. So now my set up is Mouse+Keyboard+Pedals (not used as Rudders, but throttle /brake).
it works perfectly and i use it for jets, helicopters and all ground vehicles.
youve got the biggest advantage in jets, helicopters and tracked vehicles.

I use a freetrack setup (like trackir) then assigne the mouse look key left control on the keyboard to my joystick button using joytokey program. Then set mouse emulation in freetrack. You cannot steer when using mouse look but its good for dogfights and turning on to a target. prees my mouse look key on the joystick move my head to look around, then leg go off the button the view snaps back to the HUD. I have a button set to pause freetrack for when Im not flying so moving my head dosent upset my aim when playing INF if I cannot get a jet or heli.
I have HAT left assigned to the map and use the HAT up button to zoom the map in and the HAT down to zoom out. Right HAT is set to B for in game VOIP.
The BF2 engine dosent support steering and using the mouse look at the saem time, but as I use a stick to fly I dont have to have one hand on the keyboard and one on the stick any more.

If you use mouse to fly thne you press left control and move the mouse this moves your in game view around the cockpit. I have a set up call free track
Welcome to the FreeTrack website with this headtracking device I can use my head as the mouse called mouse emulation mode in freetracks settings. So using joytokey
JoyToKey English Version a program that allows you to set a joystick buttons to a keyboard key, ie I tell joytokey that when I press and hold joystick button 12 the program sends instructions to the game that its not joystick button 12 its leftcontrol. Its like key binding but for joysticks. This turns mouse look on so I can then move my mouse to look around the cockpit. As I have free track that tracks my head movments and its set to mouse emulation my head movement is turn into mouse movement. So if i look left my view looks left as if I was moving the mouse left.
I use it alot for Flaming cliffs2 but with that you also get zoom, roll, side to side and up and down. Just like in real life. Make flying alot easier.
The BF2 game only allows for mouse look and you cannot stear at the same time
