Forced Entry... Could It be possible?

I know by now that BF2 has stated that the maps will not be totally destructable, but to my knowledge it can still be coded in. I was wondering if this could be added into PR in certain ways.
Certain military vehicles have large rams attached to the front of them which used to push and break through walls, etc. Would it be possible to have these in PR, where a tank/armored vehicle with a ram attached could be used to punch entries into walls and building sides to create an alternative entrance for the foot soldiers and other vehicles, something like this could be a great advantage on the battlefield. If any of you have seen the Movie S.W.A.T., in the begining the guy has barcaded himself in the house, and SWAT fires that rod through the wall, and then pull it out to create an alternative entrance. Something like that, but have it attached to a tank or something where you could just drive right through the wall for the most part.

Breaching / obstacle clearance rams are usually found on combat engineer vehicles and armored combat earthmovers (i.e., bulldozers). The mine clearance blade for the Abrams I guess could be used for wall breaching, but most urban obstacles the tanks come across are breached with the cannon (HEAT rounds, new special breaching rounds, or even blank training rounds) and some of them you can ram with the hull of the tank or other AFV, provided you rotate the primary weapon to the rear.
The infantry still uses the ballistic, explosive or mechanical breach for doors and wires, with explosives, recoilless weapons or armored vehicle weapons for walls.
We'll have to see what we're able to do with the engine, but breaching is definitely a dimension we'd like to include.

Imagine having a fortified position laying down fire on the enemy only to an an M1A2 burst through the back of the building you're in, and have infantry pour into your fortification as the tank backs out of the demolished wall. T'would be freaking awesome

Almost to real, I may have to go change if something like that happened to me, lol. Yeah, I would definitly be awsome in PR, heres an idea, once the wall is open, drive in a Bradley Armored Vehicle with a guy on the .50 cal and take them out!!!

Still seeing that small glimmer of hope for totally destructible environments....
or at least breachable doors (door charge, nade, c4...) and wreckable fences and stuff. and sanbags! for the love of god let us run over sandbags!

You said solodude, I want to see a sense of reliance amoung the members of a team, I like your example of the tanks, I dont want a guy to start throwing grenades at the tank trying to act like Rambo or something, I want to see him hide in some building with his gun trained on the doorway knowing that at any second an enemy could come rushing through that doorway, i want that guy to be so immersed that his hand is shaking, and I want to see him try and get help, when I'm playing, I want to hear that poor guy say over the mic,
"Hey guys, I need assistance, I have an enemy tank at these coordinates and it's approching my units position, we need air cover now!!!"
And nothing is better to hear than...
"Sit tight man, you have an F-18 on the way along with a BlackHawk to get you guys outta there, well be there in approximently 1 minute."
Nothing is better than victory through teamwork.

Solodude, lol. I was thinking of Saving Private Ryan while writing my reply, I forgot to say...
"Like in the Movie Saving Private Ryan, In the last battle of the movie, that was awsome."
I tried to go back and edit my post, but I could find the Edit button, Im so used to the Team.TacticalMarkers.com forum, I was looking for the button at the bottom of my post, lol.

Totaly destructable enviroments would be cool, but there needs to be some sort of limit on the destruction. Because of course people would just do it for fun. IRL you'd probably get thrown in jail if you went around blowing down peoples homes because you thought there was a bad guy inside. However common nuisances in BF like walls, trees, and fences should be doable. Even the walls around doors and windows should be able to be blown out, give that tricky little guy throwing mines through the window and then ducking behind it a nasty surprise. But the only thing capable of causing such damage should be say... a tank or rocket.

There is definently a need for destructible enviroments. Ugly Duck is on the money though. You can't go around firing a 120mm tank shell into every house on the block. Rules of Engagement would prevent that from happening. They will only risk destroying part of the building/wall/etc. if it's absolutely neccessary. For example, there's been an immense firefight and friendly forces are pinned down and unable to make an entrance into the building. That's usually when they'll start destroying the building.
I'm not sure if any of you have played Soldner: Secret Wars, but in that game people blew buildings to shreds until just the foundation of the building was left. It got rather annoying when there was nothing left for cover, since you could also destroy forests as if you were playing dominoes. Hit one and most of them fall down. There should definently be a limit in places like cities and populated areas.
Oh, and hello everyone. I've watched the forums of this mod for a long time. Thought it was about time I'd chime in a bit more, since I've got a lot of time on my hands. Just wanted to say I love realism beyond all else in games. Immersion is great too, theres a sense of pride you get when you help your teammates out and defend a fortified position against all odds.

you probably could do it but then you would probably limit the mod to the most capable gaming systems to appreciate. you could just have certain walls and doors etc taht could be destroyed not all just some
