So I was playing Jabal, having the AAVs pounding the beaches with their 40mm rounds. I fired two HAT's at the same APC and nothing happens. Obviously something must be very very wrong here or does the AAV have some massiv armor on the top?

It just feels wrong I guess, please fill me in on this..

You most likely just missed twice. Explosions dont do much in water.

very long shot? have heard that the carrier has an invisibe shield to protect the carrier from AA-rape. rumors says that the aav can be protected by this shield too if on the right spot. dunno about this.

If I remember correctly, there IS an invisible shield around carriers. I tested it some time ago while going to the Muttrah carrier with my BMP-3 in Co-op!

I guarantie you I didn't miss, my fellow soldiers confirme two hits on the top hull. I can't tell exact how far the shot was but both times it exploded on impact.

it probably hit the essex defence shield, this has been corrected for next version, its a bug

yes dtacs, I got drunk one night on jegerbombs and decided "well fuck it" and removed the shield completely. I mean seriously, I fucking love raping carriers with APCS.



wtf do you take me for? the shield has been moved so that it still encases the carrier but doesnt allow APCs to sit in the water and engage the land without fear of return fire.

If i had the original lightmap files I'd have moved the carrier itself and increased the Map's VD, but alas, I don't so you'll have to wait for 4k jabal by Joe.

Can the MEC APC's drive along the coast from beach to beach or has it only been moved back slightly?

I have had that problem a couple of times when I was running along the coast with a squad and suddenly we get hit by nothing and the AAV is indistructable.
