Enemy Spotted but no one knows!

Ok.. only noticed this since 0.322.

And i know others are having the same problem.

See enemy troops etc, hit Q to spot them for the team... and nothing happens when you click with the mouse, just nothing.

Basically the comma rose and spotted works intermittently… sometimes working fine, but when you are all alone in Mao Valley no one can hear you scream!

Maybe it's 1.4s fault instead of PRMM's...

yep, i've started "double spotting" vehicles to try and get them identified as vehicles and loads of troops i spot aren't getting spotted. there are frequently times when my commo rose is getting auto blocked for other players (spam rules) when i am trying to identify enemy troops ireasonably close and in the right place.

Yes, this is a 1.4 bug. This bug is not from prmm. To fix it, all you have to do is target with the Q button a friendly. This will somehow reset your commo rose and you can go back to spotting.

This is not a bug (actually it is but its not what you think) but a feature that was added in with the new 1.4 patch. What you're doing is "taunting" a dead enemy. If you check inside the common_client.zip file you will notice taunt1.ogg, taunt2.ogg, and taunt3.ogg.

However, this new taunt feature apparently isnt working like it's supposed to. To activate this feature you supposedly have to spot a dead soldier. But since its not working correctly, whenever you spot the dead soldier nothing happens. So seeing how sensitive BF2's "spot" system is, if there is a dead soldier in between you and whatever you're trying to spot it will instead attempt to taunt the dead soldier leaving you wondering why your spot feature is broken.
