PR just crashes every time I try to join a server, no error, no promt, just a straight return to my desktop. I went over the crash files in PR to find this

Thursday, May 05, 2011 8:31:29 PM
---------------------------------
An error occurred while parsing video controls
System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\Video.con' because it is being used by another process.

at System.IO.StreamReader..ctor(String path, Boolean detectEncodingFromByteOrderMarks)

at c.g()

Can anyone make sense of it or help a bro out?

Also I just noticed I don't have that path in my computer. "C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\Video.con"

EDIT: I can play the SP and local stuff but the servers give me the boot.

Edit2: I found the path but I doubt its my video configuration, I can't play BF2 either.

I'd give deleting your Battlefield 2 folder in "my documents"

That pretty much resets the game, so you will also probably need to go through this exact process after.

Deleted BF2 folder.
Load vanilla BF2 (NOT pr)
Retrieve your online account
Set video settings to all low + your native res + 100% View distance
Set audio settings appropriately (High + Hardware +EAX, 20% effects 50% Voice over 100% voip is my setup)
Load PR,
Log in.
Play on low
If that works, raise the bar slightly each time you load a map and see what the level is before you CTD

The main section of that is the setting everything to low at the start. It isn't like vBF2, it has higher res textures, longer view distances and more complex objects, of which many are yet to be optimised.
