Hey, I have a question. This is my first post and this is the main reason i came here for. Ive played Battlefield for like years and years. I used to have PR and BF2.

I quit it for about 6 months or more i dont remember. I quit it around the 0.86 version of PR.

Ive bought Battlefield 2 again, This time off of steam. But im wondering if it works with Steam. If not .. Well i guess i wont be able to play it

It deffo works, yeah.

The only problem you may have is getting kicked by punkbuster because of the in-game Steam overlay thingy.

You can turn it off in your Steam settings.

I think so, but I heard it would have less problems with the regular version of the game.

Except for the overlay thing, there's no notable problems with the Steam version afaik.

Just disable steam overlay from your Battlefield 2 shortcut in steam and PR will run fine.

Also run PR as administrator
It'll crash if you don't

i tried to contact punkbuster about the kick, they said steam was to blame for the kicks and they could not fix it :( If people show in their friends list that they play PR it could be a good promotional tool, friends will ask about what game it is they are playing. ( even for people with no steam, you could make a steam shrtcut and have friendslist active like that but punkbuster kicks :( )
