Should we clean up the server list?

Everybody knows what I mean. You start up PR, refresch your server list and find only 10 servers of the 80+ manned (Europe/UK - Primetime). A lot of servers are sponsored by clans but never used. Isn't it time to clean up this list? Since most of these servers aren't manned or only when there is an "fun-map" in play. When this map is done, the server dies.
A clean up is needed from my point of view?
What do you think?

By cleaning up I mean deleting them, it is just giving away money for nothing.

When a server is still up though, don't they still pay to keep it up, regardless of it being in use?

What will the advantage be if we clean up?

Why would we want less PR servers anyway?

i would revoke the license of servers that stay empty for 6+ months, when the new pr update comes out, simply ask them to renew the license and ask them politly why they think their server is empty and what purpose will be. In that sence a clean up could help make things easier for pr devs server management side. Less people that wine also haha when they see their 64 server not filling up with 128+ servers coming.

If people want to pay for a server that stays empty a lot of the time, thats up to them, not for the devs to force it closed. It affects the rest of us in no way whatsoever - just organise your player list from full to empty like mentioned.

You dont run these servers. You dont pay for these servers, You have no right to ask for them to be "deleted" .

In my oppinion clans that have servers that stay unpopulated for such a long time should ask themselves if they really want to keep it. But it's all their decision and, as others mentioned, doesn't affect the rest of the community one bit.

What's the difference? Perhaps they run other game servers on the same machine? So having a PR server sitting empty costs them no additional money.
More servers is always better.

Would be nice if all that server and bandwidth money could be donated to PR instead....

Under the terms of the PR Server Licence servers that are offline for 5 days or more are liable to have their licence revoked without warning. This is constantly monitored.
We do not monitor empty servers, nor do we wish to.
