I keep getting kicked by punkbuster for this. Looked around and found various threads, but haven't found any real fix. I've tried everything short of reinstalling BF2 so far. Sometimes I can go through entire games without it, and sometimes it happens right after my first death.

Also, not sure if it's related, but I have that flashing black spot texture problem on every map.

You're right though; wrong forum subsection. Not sure if I can delete this so could a mod close? I'll move it there, sorry.

Md5 mismatches normally mean that your files dont match up with the server's.

A file might have been corrupted, I would try reinstalling BF2 and PR.

post your hardware, settings and a screenshot would be useful

possible solutions, do so in this order, try each stage and see if it works, mine worked at stage 3:
1. Download THIS
2. Clear your BF2 cache
2. Update Punkbuster manually
3. Re-install/repair BF2
4. If all else fails re-install PR
5. If that fails... well i dunno wtf you did

I have this same error, but I am guessing you changed some file. I changed my init.con file. Punkbuster actually says in the error that the init.con file is the reason for the kick, therefore I needed to either change it back to the original or get it again.
Its a small file that was for the intro movies, my game doesnt crash anymore after revert or do i get kicked by pb.

i have the same i get md5 tool dismatch renddx_r.dll (len:204 kick for 2 minutes i downloaded the file in the link and it dont help. can someone upload this file please?

hmmm MD5 seems a bit random, i appear to get kicked randomly some days for it, and then not for a while and then again sometimes. i don't know why.
