I support idea of AU creators to put FN FAL to its faction.
FN FAL is mostly used by almost all African nations . . . Alongside AKM (AK-47),
for example Nigerian Army is using both FALs and AKs.
I think that using of two rifles would be realistic,
I mean FAL can be main rifle,while AKM can be put in alternate kit which you can request
with right click on mouse . . .
I don't want to disrespect DEVs idea,but I think my idea is not so idiotic . . .

He does have a valid point. Considering the plentiful nature of really any form of AK in Africa there should at least be some kits in the AU with the AK, its not as farfetched as the primary support weapon being the M240.

Its simply absurd to not have it feature in the AU kits period.

You might also want to check out the Design Plan. It shows what vehicles, weapons, gear and almost everything to do with the faction on an excel-style spreadsheet, including how much of it is done, and how much needs to be done.

I have learned design plan like a song . . .
I like it, especially crewman kit .
And I wouldn't mind inclusion of AKM as a alternate rifle.
I mean AKM is widely used by armies of the world today,
but there is no conventional army in PR that is using it.
Again,I like DEVs idea,and I don't want to sound like "why you didn't do this like that" . ops:

Which alt kits? Update of the plan would be good.

Sorry about this but just to clarify it is the FN MAG right not the U.S M240.

Aren't they the same? though you're right, FN MAG appears to be the better designation in this case though I think dtacs was making a point by deliberately using the americool m240 designation to make it's use as primary AR weapon sound more farfetched. Apparently this has been a suggested by someone.


edit: I see now in the design plan where this comes from, the m240 is listed as primary weapon for the U.A.'s AR, with a deployed PKM as secondary weapon. Is this intentional?
Or is the secondary kit armed with a PKM? (I applaud the introduction of the m240, I prefer the designation FN MAG though, but wouldn't the PKM be the more oft-seen weapon in this case? I suggest a situation comparable with the militia, wherein the awesome, yet exceptional LMG is made secondary so you'll mostly see the PKM)

Will the AU AKs use optics ?
I don't bet that African nations are using optics in real life,
but AU will be conventional faction,
so use of optics would be nice.
Also MEC in PR are using optics on their G3s,
but I don't think that is case in real life . . .
One more question :
How will FAL optics look like ?

Yea.. Maybe change tha PKM to FN MAG or HK - 21 ?
