Patcher dont work

Hey guys, My 1.41 patcher does not work, i installed it from the original website. somtimes it does not open but when it does, it gives me an error like "Cannot find install directory" i Use Windows XP
Oh yeah and im new :>

hmmm.... is BF2 under:
program files/EA games/Battlefield
or have you placed it else where, this might be the problem?
or you mgiht have to re-download the patch, sorry to say.

Its somwhere else
, I dont have enough place in my main Disk, My Computer is a family computer so we have divided the hard drives in 40 GB, So thats why the C: drive is only used for Softwares. Can i do somthing else?
Oh yeah my Cousin wanted to ask can he play online in a pirated version of BF2, Lol.

sorry seasmy, you need a legal CD Key to play online, BF2 is now quite old and therefore cheaps so your cousin should just purchas a copy. We don't discuss pirated software on this forum
How much free space do you have on your 40GB partition? Perhaps the problem is that there simply isn't enough room for the patch to use?

The one in which i have installed BF2 right now has 19 GB left and the C: drive only has 3 GB left
EDIT: Guys i fixed the problem i went to regedit and made a string their and it worked :>
If somone gets this problem tell me i may be able to help him

My friend got the problem , it can't find the bf2 installation stuff.
Please tell how to fix, and I will explain for him.
