Are you trying to mod the geometries or switch them because if your trying to switch the geometries then i know an easier way to do it.

Well, when your faction has reached good progress, we can give you what you need to complete your kits, don't import stuff to reuse it, it will give you a shitty result.

So, don't worry about this for the moment.

I guess you don't know how to skin kit parts either ? (You are pretty good if you know it already, though I don't know your export skills. :mrgreen :)

Exporting kits isn't an easy task, you have to merge the UVmaps of the weapons you attach to your kit (shotgun or LAT for example) into the UV sheet of your kits, otherwise it won't work properly ingame.

Generally, weapons used on kits (at least it's the way Chuc/I export them) are low res models of our weapon models.

Yeah, it's similar to texturing other models, just be sure to leave enough space on the UV sheet for weapon/accessories models.

Take example on the US kits texture, it should give you an idea of the average space needed. :-)

Don't forget you have the right to use a 2048*2048 texture for kits.

Heh, you're welcome, I had the pleasure to receive answers from DEVs/CONs when I started modding and faced issues.

It's always simpler when someone can explain. (though with export, I had to understand a lot of things by myself too. :p since exporters are pretty scarce around here.)
