BF2audio.dll module error

Okay so i normally dont need help with any problems but seeing as i have exhausted all my other options except reinstalling my game i will call on the community to see if they have an answer. I've played PR for years and i know BF2 has its issues.. So 3 days ago PR randomly stopped working. Could not find BF2audio.dll module error. i know this is a bad error. i tested the sound engine and it gave me errors on.. everything. couldnt even play 1 soundfile. i have more than 1 harddrive that have different bf2 copies on them.. so i tried using my other hardd drives files to replace the game engine files, the audio engine files and the open al files. Didnt work. i tried updating bf2's open al. Didnt work. Tried running the other bf2 from HDD 2.. didnt work.. yet when i start up in vista instead of 7 and try to run the game... it works.. so a lil help here. I cant reinstall. Disk is gone. And i dont feel like being a Pirate and i dont do steam.

If you've found multiple errors like that you might have to re-install PR. I don't know what's happened, maybe a virus got you?
However wait another day or two for another reply, you might not have to re-download it all etc.

How ironic. Same exact error missing bf2 audio .dll file. Somethings up. I have played this game for a few years and never had this happen. I think it's a spyware, adware, software, or possibly an antivirus program that's mucked it up. I run AVG 2011 & Malwarebytes. This same exact thing just randomly happened to me just in the past 2-3days. No system changes, that I made or am aware of. Hope someone can shed some light on this.

well... I dont think its a virus. i think it has to do something with how the bf2 engine compiles itself. I mean.. really.. i've seen other people with this error and they just had to reinstall everything. With vbf2, this rarely happened. Yet for some reason with PR it is more common. And Very annoying. Im an IT Technician, Computer nut, Musician and im Studying Electrical Engineering. I think i'd know if there was an evil bug running round my system. Although, some of the new spyware just sits there in your computer silently and never shows itself. Sneaky blighters. XD I catch them though. Could have something to do with how heavily modded the sound engine is. Its been Beyond tweaked.

Yeah I have the same problem. Though I cant get past the splash screen.

REINSTALL OPENAL and repatch to 1.5.
