hi,

I wanted to speed up getting into a server by removing intro vids and auto-loging in to my account, I remember reading what tags you need to add to the shortcut to do that, but couldnt find the thread at all... if any one can post them here id appreciate it.

To remove the intro vids I just go to Battlefield 2\mods\pr\movies then delete everything except menubg.bik (the menu background video).

The tags for autologin are: +playerName YOURACCOUNTNAMEHERE +playerPassword YOURPASSWORDHERE

Where do you insert this command line?

Into the box where it says "Target:" iirc, right under "Target Location:"
After you right click the icon and select "Properties"
(correct me if I'm wrong)

The full shortcut target should look like this:

"ROOTDIRECTORY\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +playerName NAME +playerPassword PASSWORD

also you dont need to delete the videos, just add "+restart 1" at the end and your done

I saw this commands to the shortcut in the Harcore Gaming forum for a direct server connection

That'd be quicker, although there's no reason to keep them.

No one needs to see the BSS logo (a loosely-associated group of mods, not a studio...) or PR logo with a creepy buzzing sound whenever they start the mod. It's redundant presentation with a bad vibe IMO.
