hi gamers i have got problem with run bf2 and his mods where is PR :L
the problem is if i run pr.exe or bf2.exe on monitor will be black and then jump back to windows and i got all patches idk where is prob

This is a usual problem. It is fixed by changing a text file:

Go to this location- C:\Users\username\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default

then look for the file Video.con

Open this file with text editor (right click>edit)

There should be a line that says like this:
VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@60Hz

Now instead of 1280x1024 (my resolution) write 800x600

Start the game.

Set your own graphics settings from game menu.

Whats the refresh rate of the screen that you use? is it a TV?

For XP right click on desktop>properties>display

Now see your display resolution, then click on "Advanced options" button>monitor. Refresh rate should be there.

800x600@60Hz should work on most rigs. Make sure you restarted your computer sometimes its all it takes because its XP.

I had a similair problem with my bf2 as i use a samsung moniitor, and it couldn't support the 62hz refresh rate that BF2 requires.

do you have an online account set up in normal bf2,? i had a similar problem and it was because I never set up an account on normal bf2??

Steps:

1. Edit your PR shortcut to have +fullscreen 0 at the end
2. Try opening PR again, check for error message
3. If error message shows: post up what it was. [screenshot preferred]
4. If no error shows up, post that no error showed up.

not i reinstal bf2 and the problem is if i instal patch 1.41 bf2 working but if im instal patch 1.5 not working so idk why?

You confirm that 1.41 patch works?

Have you double checked that your 1.5 patch is not corrupt?

Be very clear: Patch 1.4 and Patch 1.41 are different.

You need to do this to get it to work:
1. Install BF2
2. Install Patch 1.41
3. Install Patch 1.5

To check if your patch is corrupt, use an MD5 checksum tool.

It should match this value (tested on my working 1.5 patch).

It takes a while to check the big files.

Another option is to load the 1.5 patch torrent and ask it to verify the files, and it will then fix any hash errors.

But really the MD5 verification above will be good enough. I highly suspect a PEBCAK issue...

dose your system specs meet the game specs
because back when i first got bf2 i didnt know shit about pc's i thought any game would run on any pc lol
but when i tried it back at that time it started then it goes black screen then back to desktop
