hey there

i read on the manual that i need to wait 8 seconds before shooting for maximum accurary. and it says that i need to wait 4 seconds after "movement".

now my question is what is understood under movement? just moving the sniper or moving your whole body (W A S D)

thanks

4 seconds after movement of the gun i think, also if you shoot you have to wait 4 seconds.

See how HAT from modern armys (US Army/Marines, UK, MEC etc) is working. I believe snipers (and most of weapons in PR) works in very similiar way.

If you move your body (W A S D or E S D F > yeah, some people got these key bindings) you have to wait 4 soconds to let your sights settle down correctly.

If you move your sights slightly without moving your body you don't have to wait all the 4 seconds i think but if you move your sights jerky you should wait 4 seconds in order to hit your target.

You can take the HAT for example, there you got these braces which show you when you can shoot without deviation, i think it's the same with the Sniper rifles, but you don't see them :P

[Instructor]
And remember, give intel to your team, talk to the SLs about enemy movements and only engage High Priority Targets such as... Enemy Officer, H-AT, "AA-Infantry", Medics as well (remember your ROE) :P [/Instrucor]

Edit: wasn't fast enoug huh? :P Daystate sait pretty much the same in much less text ;)

I believe it's 8 seconds. 4 seconds between every shot, and every silly movement with your rifle.
Also, if you don't know how to count to 8, you can press "3". Wait for your 1337znipz0rN0zc0pez guy to stop breathing, and take the shot.

solution: drop the kit and get some teamwork done with a INF squad.

I was once towing in qwai river. I got soooo raged about one sniper that kept killing me. I even had to order mortars and stuff. He kept going behind my back. When someone finally got him I was so raged I had to alt+tab and listen some bob marley lol. I even wrote something like this in chat:
KILLTHAT MOTHERFU**ER FFS BNLOW HIM UP!RHAAAAAAAH!"!!!

So snipers can be really usefull making people angry LOL.

Off topic:

Snipers are actually very useful, as long as the guys grabbing them can learn how to use the radio. I've seen way too many "Recon" squads, not doing shit for their team.

regarding the 4 seconds, I'm not sure if thats something that needs updating or not since a differnt deviation vs movement system was implemented last release for normal rifles at least; where you have a max 5 second wait time, but once deviation is minimal you can move for X seconds and only have to wait for X seconds again up to a max of 5 seconds before reaching minimal deviation. I'm unsure if the snipers use the same system but up to 8 seconds instead.

his question is a problem, therefore it requires a solution.

I can assure you that the first place people start looking for snipers are on top of cranes, or on top of the hotels. Which means it's not a prime sniper point.

I actually think it's 8 seconds after maximum deviation by movement (the breathing sound when you press '3' lasts for 8 seconds), and 4 seconds resettling after firing.

'Limeni[BiH wrote:;1614523']Hmmm I'm almost 100% sure that was me :D
at the end I was killed with a HAT.
I just love pissing of people with sniper, sometimes there are no good team work orientated inf squads so in those situations sniper kit is not a bad idea, It can be really fun.
Was it on Nwa server? Did the guy keep smoking the TOW. Was the tow next to that small bunker.

If all these match, then it was me lol.

Well, if you want to be 100% sure, wait 8 seconds before you fire, after you've stopped moving. Wait 4 seconds between every shot.

Actually, it does. You can see the deviation. Don't know how many seconds it takes for the HATs to reach maximum(?) deviation, though.
