Thanks for the move Mod.

So has anyone had this issue before? A solution would really help out with the little time I get with PR when away from the wife, work and errands.

Hmm sometimes that 64 bit can have very stupid bugs. Does this happen after computer restart? If so, you might try turning windows aero off and check. Using windows XP compatibility mode ain't a bad idea.

UPDATE EDIT: As I figured, the Compatibility does not fix it at all. This is amazingly annoying now.

It's possible that it can occur after a restart as well, yes. I always turn off Windows Aero when I play certain games, so that's not it.

I'll try out the compatibility change tomorrow when I get a chance at it.

Hopefully that can fix it. I'll post the results.

Looks like not too many PR gamers are familiar with this issue. Thanks TheComedian for trying to help out though.

Damn why do I have to be the only one with this weird issue, so frustrating lol.

Is there at least another site where I can somehow throw this issue out there and hope for someone with a solution? Google isn't turning up nothing unfortunately.

I remember having a problem like this some time ago. It was related to my antivirus or firewall.

If you can reproduce it, try running with your antivirus firewall and protection disabled. These things happen especially with eset smart security (nod).

Yeah I recreate the issue and it's not my antivirus/firewall. I'm just going to have to deal with it unfortunately.

I can play just fine but every time I want to disconnect from a server and get into another one I have to relaunch PR or restart my system entirely. Believe me that becomes unbearably annoying after awhile.

But I am unaware of a fix for this. I am also guessing that this is caused by some background program. You should try and stop as many other processes as you can, then see if the issue is still there.

Also make sure you are not pressing Ctrl+Esc which is a hotkey combination for start menu.

Yeah I solved the issue.

I'm using a macro that toggles my crouch which conflicts with the Esc key as you state above, when pressed in certain conditions (toggle tandem issue).

I now have to either stand or go prone from the standing position to be able to hit Esc or type in All/Team chat. I've gotten used to it.

Thanks for pointing that out though.
