I'm trying to download the files that come in three parts, but when I click to download, Mozilla (my browser) instantaneously declares them downloaded even though they can not be.

Are the files still on PR servers?

you're downloading a torrent, which is less than a meg. Ensure you have a bittorrent application, then run the raw file. It will then ask you where to download the main file (the PR installer/s) and when done, peace is restored to the world

Any suggestions for with BT app?

Cheers. Now I've got the files, the server is saying they're password protected & the password will be released in 2 days time. I think I'm only upto 0909 version, so do I have to wait 2 days to play or can I download earlier versions to allow me to play now?

Seems you gonna have to wait, I dont see other versions in download sections other than Full 0.96(3 parts) and 0.95-0.96. Maybe try googling for 0.95. But I'd wait. You wont really miss out on anything during weekdays.

Can I just ask please? Is v96 the entire game? Can someone with just Vanilla download v96 and have PR? Or do they need the 2 original files to begin with?

This is what you need to play PR 0.96 on the release day (this friday), in order of installation:

Battlefield 2
BF2 1.41 patch
BF2 1.5 patch
PR 0.96 full install (all 3 parts)

If you want to play the current (0.95) version now, download these files:

And just install the patch on friday:

Either way, you'll need the basic BF2 game and both 1.41 and 1.5 patches.

Quick Download and installation guide:
1. Update vBF2,first check what ver your vBF2 is at, load up vBF2 and check top right for yellow number:
1a. Patch upto 1.41
1b. Patch 1.5
2. Download all 3 parts of PR 0.95,
2a. Once you have downloaded all three parts, install each part in order : 1 > 2 > 3
2b. If it asks for a password then goto this LINK, you should being using 0.95 password.

3. Download the 0.96 patch
3a. This is a preload patch and therefore cannot be installed untill friday when it is offically released.
3b. On friday a password will be posted HERE, you will be asked to provide this password when installing the patch
3c. As you can see the password will be sent out in about 2 days time.

Oh I wonder why nobody has made an easy way to download the MOd. Oh wait. I Did that already but DEVs are not interested in it. Oh well

I remember you did something to make it easier... But I just remember that you made the download as a torrent before PR did. What was it that you did again? *no sarcasm*

If that easy way didn't involve installing .NET i might even use it. Installing stuff just so i can install stuff seems a bit redundant for me.

Is there anybody around who has issues with Torrents? They download quite speedy for me and I have a low range connection, if you can call a 6 Mbit connection that.

A year ago I would have killed you, cut off your face John travolta style and pretended to be you so that I could have used your internet, back then I had a max DL speed of 100kbs down.

i downloaded all of them in 3 hours orso, 150Mbps
