Navy SEALS

Post by CrashNemesisII »

Sort of an AAR.

Yesterday I was playing on operation Barracuda as an American.
From the round start I created a squad. Where I usually go with the squad name AS Recon (meaning Infantry, mostly footwork) I decided I needed a cool name cause I always en up with the snipers, which aren't usefull in a close contact (Assault) Squad. So I went for the squad name SEALS (Sea, Air, Land) and it sounds kinda cool.

We were dropped by heli way from the landing zone I designated in the middle of a fecal-weather-disruptance**. We moved our squad to the airfield where we overtook about 6-xrays before biting the dust when an enemy 50.cal jeep moved in and a huey landed on top of the rest of us.
Our rally was overrun and the firebase was down so we could only spawn back on the Essex. Needing a new strategy to take over the coastal points I had an epifany due to our squad name. I asked a slightly more bold pilot to fly us low and slow about 800m from the coast line. And like good seals we bailed out and started swimming.
About halfway through our swim we got under heavy fire from the other coastal battery but we proved little or no suitable target and they quickly lost interest.
We made it to the rocky shores, put up a rally and moved allong the ridges into the enemy battery. Taking down 5 Xrays and only losing one man.
I think I can say this was a bold but succesfull operation that I hope to see again in the future.
Maybe it's done before maybe you guys think it's crazy, I thought it was quite the adrenaline rush and still had a realistic feel to it.

It was an honor serving with you fine gents.

QUOTE of that Day.

"Crash": Oh look another squad coming in by jeep now... Makes you wonder why we swam.
"Andrew": Cause we're SEALS, we're Hardcore!

I was thinking of doing this on barracuda...I was gonna get the heli to drop us off at the east border 500m out of docks. We had a sniper that was gonna watch over us and grenadier and all the stuff we needed to counter any threat the Chinese threw at us...then a heli that got hit by AA came screaming down into our whole squad on the Essex...then I just gave up and left

got a few more:

Teamwork is essential! It gives the enemy other people to shoot at.

When the enemy is in range, so are you.

I never take the roads or set paths unless i have no choice, because i always prefer to be unseen until i make my move by blowing up a cache or firebase. I don't see why people rather wait 10 minutes for a vehicle then spend 5 minutes swimming or jogging which is always safer.
If a bomb lands 20 feet from your position, then I'm coming around for another shot.
P.S. Sorry that I missed the first time.
