Sounds very interesting. You could use the MEC models for the Argentinian soldiers, and keep the current British models. And of course, a good reason to use the Sea King.

Plus. as far as I know. Nobody has made a game/mod about that era. Not everything has to be about WW1, WW2, Vietnam.

I Did not read all the way though that thread. But from what I can tell, They are planing/working on doing it with today's weapons and so on :IE Modern warfare . This is about playing it with 1980's weapons and equipment.
