Gunner Protection
In most mordern combat area, MG gunners have either Bullet Proof glass protecting them, Or a metal shield, with glass veiw. In PR, many a time have i been gunner, and simply picked off. Should PR get this is the real Question. FOR: This gives the MG gunner more of a chance. AGAINST: It crosses the path of reality to Obessive, and the gun deservers the kill for his marksmenship

Re: Gunner Protection
Really? Source?
I really don't believe that it is realistic for a SAW gunner or M2 .50cal gunner to have a glass shield, and as these are the 2 primary machine gun systems used in PR it would not be realistic to fit either with a shield. Perhaps you should find a better spot from which to use your MG.
Like I say, please use a viable source for your information when posting.

Re: Gunner Protection
^^ Is it used as standard equipment for combat forces? Oh and where is the MG on that Humvee im not seeing it...?
If not it won't be added. Also my apologies I understood that the OP was talking about the AR kit or the deployable MG.

As for that pic, the M2 has been removed - you can however see the slot that the barrel pokes out from, LHS of the turret, under the antenna.

Just wondering couldnt this be an over powered idea here? I know it is realistic but they are going to be near impossible to take out of the gunning position then, think of the poor insurgents who have no molotovs or RPGs.

Well i know molotovs own humvees just half the time ive used them already, and i resort to just sneaking up and headshotting the gunner.
