Right now, take a sheet of paper or something flat on your desk in your right hand, now, turn it upside down. Now, put it into your left hand while turning it the right way up, now, hand it back into your right hand.
Didn't that seem like a complete waste of time when you could have just bought it out in your correct hand?
That exact motion is the current one for the first aid patch.
Is this so people can't instantly spam patches once they get them out?
Why not just bring the patch straight out in the right hand, and tear the top with the left?

Yeah, it's so they can't be insta-spammed... if it helps, think of it as checking the dressing is the correct size, large enough to cover the wound, still inside its expiry date and that the packaging isn't damaged (which would compromise the sterility of the contents)

Well.. it boils down to how I felt when I was doing the animation. Clearly at the time it was easier to have the odd flip trick than whatever else to slow down the draw but keeping up the action.
But I do see where you're coming from, however this is really minor and would be an cosmetic change that won't change how the dressings will be used anyway.

I didnt really notice it TBH... isted of flipping it 976592 times you could just bring it closer to eyes to read the instructions, taking the same amount of time. But in the end its the same stuff

Well, I"m sure if the problem was insta-spam, you could simply lower the time it takes to take it out, but then increase the time it takes to "deploy" it, by not only ripping the end off but following the instructions (placing dressing on wounded skin?)
