Pilot Sprint
i just came in mind that pilots dont have any thing at all, they have a smoke and a first aid... When you become a pilot, trust me you do hours of physical training, so why not give the pilots imba sprint, when you have parachuted your self behind enemy lines, you want to get out as soon as possible.

Re: Pilot Sprint
IMO its not needed, You have 10-20 minutes to get back to base before your chopper respawns anyways. It makes since and would be realistic I guess but to me it doesn't sound like something that needs to be changed anytime soon.

Re: Pilot Sprint
You're not really supposed to run back to base though, you're supposed to find a place to sit tight and wait for rescue, the sprint is to get away from about to explode vehicles and enemies.
I'm for it, more sprint power for the pilots.

Re: Pilot Sprint
Yeah it's certainly low priority, just makes sense as far as realism is concerned.
I imagine it would be a fairly quick and painless change to implement...

Waddayamean? They got a multizillion dollars worth of hardware while I'm stuck with a few field dressings and epipens. They better make good use of their asset. If they get more then I want a big white ambulance sponsored by International Red Cross.

Re: Pilot Sprint
not sure, sounds like a good idea, could help a lot of downed pilots.
Wait simpe solution, go down with the aircraft, much funner

Re: Pilot Sprint
If sprint adjustments could be made according to requestable kits, don't you think people would have different amount of sprint allready?

You probably would go down with the plane, theres really no incentive in staying alive anyway.
Probably something they should fix, lessen the ticket loss if you survive, and stay alive for like, 2-5 minutes afterwards, so they don't just bail to save tickets and then suicide.

Re: Pilot Sprint
I don't think that giving pilot kits more sprint should be made as a compromise because of the fact that they've had their weapons/equipement taken away. I'd much rather see their real equippement given to them, which you'd think that they aren't that much faster irl than a normal soldier (not the same equippement, ofc, but they've still got a whole bunch on them, and they don't need to be as physically fit, do they?)

Re: Pilot Sprint
I thought the basic BF2 game had different sprints for different kits, the insurgent Collaborator has less sprint, so I don't think that is the reason.Vege wrote:If sprint adjustments could be made according to requestable kits, don't you think people would have different amount of sprint allready?
The pilot does not need the extra sprint though, he was just 'ejected' at high speeds and parachuted down in hostile conditions. He needs to carefully return after all that stress and if anything should have reduced sprint like a Collaborator.
The only thing the Pilot needs is binocs, even if they are of reduced zoom, to help find his way back.

Re: Pilot Sprint
While they may have less equipment to haul around they have also just been ripped out of an aircraft likely going faster than the speed of sound and have endured a rather traumatic experience, not the finest of circumstances for starting off a few miles worth of running and that is assuming they made it to the ground without any severe injuries to the legs, spine, or squishy parts.

Re: Pilot Sprint
Have you ever tried sprinting more than 100m. It's hard to sustain a full sprint for over 100m unless your Kenyan or an Olympic Sprinter which is why I disagree. Now don't go saying pilots train to the same extent as professional sprinters cause we all know it's not true. In my opinion, the current system of jogging(running) and sprinting is more thought of by players as walking and running respectively.
On another note, how many times have you actually seen a pilot bail out and try to evade the enemy? I for one would actually be rather pissed if a helicopter was going down and the pilot bailed out leaving me, the passenger, to die.
