LOLZ! Quoting now...

Back on topic, I agree that replacing the miniguns with M240 would be much more realistic as only a small portion of blackhawks actually use miniguns. If the minigun were to stay in use, then perhaps create 2+ guns to address the ROF problem?

AFAIK, both Alex and me were talking about the HC2; the British variant of the Chinook...

Picture!? I gave the official site of the RAF as a source. What better source can you think of?
But personally, I don't like the minigun, so the M240/ M2 would be nice to see.

I wasn't addressing the RAF with my post, only branches of the US military.

How about the addition of M-240's on the Huey?

Yeah I would rather shoot a Gau-8 out too.

That's usually a problem too. Just the word mini-gun makes a lot of people even more triggerhappy. (shooting randomly for example) M240's are much more...'boring' for them. So I'd rather have a M240 on the heli I'm flying, instead of a mini-gun. The M240 is effective, but less interesting for triggerhappy people, which is a good reason for me to get a M240 on the heli's rather then the miniguns.

Wut? Never had that. Although if you have a not so fast computer the explosion of the projectile will lag you, it emits way way too much smoke due to the rof, because its using a material effect it shouldn´t be.

Well if we put the m240 on the BH they will be as useless as the machineguns on the mi-17. Which might be a point if we want both sides to have equally useless guns. What is really the problem with shooting from a helicopter btw, why is it so damn hard? it feels as if the bullets never go where you aim them..

i thought that door guns were only really used for suppression fire when going into and out of a hot lz.

in rl when yer chuggin along in a HC2 doing 170knots and u realise theres a target, its already 300 yards behind u.

personally i would like to see the mini's taken off the blackhawks, it would stop ppl using them as mini ac-130's, last week i was playing an insurgent map and some noob was just spraying rounds all over the place with no target ID'ing so wiping out friendlys.

add a ammo limit to the minigun! remember one of the ideas of this suggestion is to bring up the air support element of the minigun
