Not impressed with what just happened on T&T

Fallujah, outside kit spawn buiding south east

I pick up RPG kit, walk outside
[Al_w] Mr.Cherios spawns in at area and I think he was trying to get a weapon but none were there
he walks outside (I'm standing stationary trying to gather situational awaeness from viewing the map)
he crouches and fires a shot at me

I try to report this, learn the report function has been disabled - fair enough (yet just a few days ago I heard you guys ban all the pg up and pg down spammers)

Lots of T&T members are on the server. Then as I am bleeding out (black & white now) he runs me over in a vehicle.

Player recieved no warning at all. Nothing.

Hardly encouraging administration.

i can't talk for T&T , but i can talk for admins.

people must understand, we are playing the game as well. not only this we are normally miles away from the incident. reports are hard to deal with as who shall the admin trust ? it could be a false report by a tard getting his own back on some one taking his kit or something.

best thing to do , is gather proof (screen shot,video) post on there forums and get the guy banned for sure. as its very hard (unless the guy is a mass tker) to tell whats going on , and whos in the wrong when you witness non if it and the playing reporting it is unknown to you.

again, i dont represent T&T just saying. being a admin is hard.

I've been playing on T&T all night, since for once it has spaces! It was 99.9% positive, alot of fun!

But I was a bit annoyed that an iGi member was kicked for space, its not that I think iGi should get preferential treatment, but there were around 4 other iGi members on the server at the time. We want to play together, and if the person hadn't been patient enough to wait for a new slot, we would have all migrated to another server that would let our clan play together. I'm unsure if T&T policy in this regard.#

But agian, great gaming, great players. Shame about the Asad Kahl round, but it was very intense.

I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience ryan d_ale but as the guys said, regardless of how many [T&T] were on they were there to play the game too. There is no such thing as a 'report' function. However, had you brought it to the attention of an admin they would have acted. Like Gazz says, if you have evidence post it on our site and we WILL deal with the offender.

Download the BR file from our library (on the site) and fraps the incident or something.

Rudd - no idea what you're referring to about one of your guys getting kicked for a space. I do recall kicking one person earlier so I could join. The server claimed it was full, and clearly didn't know who it was talking to I kicked one person using BF2CC (reason: making space for member). Can't remember the name but they had been idle for nearly 30 mins. Our policy - for when the slot system doesn't work - is generally to kick anyone who's been idle for a long time. But, it's very rare to do that because the reserved slots usually works.

Also - for info you clan do in fact get preferential treatment. The smart balance script (Afterdune's) has [T&T] and iGi tags only

One of my admins has reviewed the BR file from last night's game. Unfortunately, your recollection of events doesn't quite match what actually happened.

In the BR file we can see [Al_w] Mr.Cherios spawns, and takes a shot at you, from a distance (he's nowhere near you, as you allude to). I have no reason to believe it's anything other than an accidental team wounding.

You then proceed to wander about and eventually bleed out. At no point does anyone run you over with a vehicle.

Indeed, if you review the entire round from your perspective you seem to spend most of your time bayonetting tyres, dancing for some reason, and getting owned by the US. Then you spawn, get accidentally shot, stand around making no attempt to be healed, die, then leave.

Some people might be forgiven for thinking you just got bored at being owned and decided to blame it on someone. I'm sure that's not the case.

I've been playing PRSP mostly over LAN now that AMAZON ARE SELLING BF2 FOR LESS THAN £5, so I've "bullied" my friends into getting it solely for PR.

I just want to post to say I cant recommend this server enough and thankyou to one your fellow clan members, I apologise I cant remember his name. He lead the squad I was part of yesterday and it was one of the best rounds playing a Brit on Al Basrah I've had In a long time, good fun, good fighting and good teamwork. And cheers to the rest of the squad too, I look forward to the next time I can get a game in.

My first bad thing i've encountered in the T&T server

30 minutes ban for wasting assets & locked squad

Okay, I agree about the lock squad part...I indeed locked the squad, but so were 2 other squads. So you could at least gave me a warning first.

And the wasting assets part is just BS. I wasn't wasting anything. The lynx got shot at and was unable to fly any further. Those things happen.

Big thumb down for this action! You could have at least looked at the situation before doing anything drastic like this.

I was the admin that kicked you. I put up two warnings about locked squads, saw you was flying and gave you the benefit of the doubt, thinking you would land and unlock. You died, i put up another warning to you and you took off.
You were hit and bailed. Bailing out a chopper even when shot is a waste imo.

Plenty of warnings were given, if you didn't see them then tough and i sat and watched the server while in it before acting.

I do believe a kick is for 20 minutes not 30 unless that's been changed while i've been away.

I didn't see any warning...I kept a close eye on the chat messages for people needed transport, and I did NOT see any warning at all.

And you are suggesting that I should die with a crashing chopper instead of bailing? What kind of stupid reason is that to kick me?

You died, i put up another warning to you and you took off.

I died once, and you kicked me right after, so this is not true.

I've checked the logs.

Saw one 'admin say' warning from Gunwitch, and 1 'team say' warning.

The admin warning was a general warning to all locked squads. The team say was directed to NyteMyre by name. I saw no response to that, but NyteMyre did then chat twice regarding being a gunner for someone. Five minutes elapsed between the second warning and the kick.

As for who died and when - you are both free to download the BR file if you wish to argue that one out ... but this isn't the place to do that.
