Since the pilots are now unarmed like civs could they not be treated as POW's when they have 2 eject, maybe if he is shot, the murdered looses points and or kills, and to capture him you have 2 knife him ect...

This is a really good idea. If pilots can't have guns, make them civi - like! That would be kind of a replacement for the need of pistols.

Well in Ins mode wouldnt be good as there is no governing body that controls the ins as such. But for actual forces eg MEC, US etc etc it would be good as im sure its somewhere in geneva convention or something.

pilots are unarmed which is why i suggested this and therefore are no threat, maybe if the pilot is captured he or she cannot pick up pilot kit 4 10 mins etc to prevent him from geting back into an attak role.

personally i just see it being abused, you know people just grabbing a pilots kit to try and get killed to punish the enemy

Surely then its their loss because they can't fight and, if the teams actually decent, won't get killed in combat on the ground. And if they are killed, then it would give the player who killed the pilot experience of not killing an enemy pilot in a match...

Very good point about the SL spotting thing. Maybe the request time as mentioned earlier would be best, that way you can't rejoin the battle as a ground troop after bailing for "X" amount of time. I don't think making it a penalty is a great idea... then you will end up with a squad of pilots trying to exploit the punishments to the other team, like mention before. They definitly need something... I think a knife would be most appropriate- what if you get caught in a tree when you parachute down? lol

Im afraid this post is what we in the industry call a re-suggestion.

Giving pilots the same/similar Rules of Engagement as Civilians has been suggested a fair few times here on the Project Reality Forums.
