Side seats on tanks =) i mean, instead of having the regular Driver/Gunner/.50 combination, you could have some people sitting on the back of the tank.
Dunno if that would pose problems for turning the tank turret 180 degrees, just something to take into consideration
EDIT: Right, stupid suggestion =\ sorry.

1. APC's, or ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIERS are in the game for that purpose.
2. men would not sit on tanks during combat
3. Pointless
4. It has been suggested before.

this is untrue casualties in the second gulf were caused by us troops sitting on battle tanks as they went through a town obivously this wasnt true all the way through as they got wise to it but in the first couple of days this was a cause of casualtiesReapersWarrior wrote:this is going to get shot down quicker then i can probably reply...

Personally, I think it'd only be a good idea for militia. Conventional armies would never do it, but militia already rides into combat on the backs of technicals, so sitting on a tank would fit.
Of course, you'd still have the issues with a bunch of RPGs riding on the back of a tank...

A little off topic but as a Insurgent I got in the Merlin and the pilot drove me around the map was cool.daranz wrote:Personally, I think it'd only be a good idea for militia. Yea, wouldn't mind the "militia" (well, chechens really) being able to do this. It's not like it'll outway the use of an APC, since it still would have neither speed nor armour compared to the APCs. HOWEVER, I highly doubt it would be useful in the situation that the team DOES have an APC, and in the case that there are no APCs around, it would be quite unrealistic to see tanks simply ferrying troops around.daranz wrote:Personally, I think it'd only be a good idea for militia. For those reasons, I don't see it as something that's needed.
