This is what you said lol..
Save it and load up a map that has the FAAV, for example Ramiel.

Re: [Code] HandBrake
I found out that each vehicle has a "Brake Torque" and "Engine Brake Torque" configuration...
If tweaked it can improve the vehicle's ability to brake properly. I wonder why the PR team hasn't messed around with it.
We might not even need the Hand Brake feature after all... well you still might want to add it to get some tuned drift

I bet they wish they could stop that fast.
Interesting concept and way to get it to work. Just looks like they need to have greater stopping distances...
(since the videos didn't have sound I don't know when you applied the brake and what not)
don't mean to sound like an ***.

Have you had a play with this yet? Sounds like it might work out quite well at least in circumstances where the slope is fairly even (without small sharp uneven patches i.e. the hills of Korengal).Onil wrote:Having a second recoil from the back at the same time would indeed not work. However you can setup so that the back recoil only activates if the vehicle is stopped (meaning it has no throttle) so that you only get recoil from the back when you're stopped and it would keep the vehicle from moving backwards slowly do to the forward recoil. However, im not sure if this would keep the vehicle still.

You are correct, but it can be tweaked so it doesn't stop instantaneously and it would still stop better then it does currently.SevenOfDiamonds wrote:LiveLeak.com - Humvee Wreck In IED Hole in Iraq

But actually i have been checking the normal vehicle configurations and trying to do the same but without the handbrake feature, i think it might be possible not only to brake properly by using "BrakeTorque" and "EngineBrakeTorque" but also to maybe fix the sliding with some other configurations.

No i haven't tested that yet, been tweaking some other aspects and seeing how the vehicle reacts.AnRK wrote:Have you had a play with this yet? Im not a coder so im not an expert on this stuff... just testing stuff as i go along.

Re: [Code] HandBrake
i was wondering if this wouldn't have an effect on the vehicle so that it would be able to decrease speed while in the air, of course this would definitely be worth it even though it aint really realistic, but just wondering.
