AAV P7A1

Post by Deadpool2894 »

Since the US army has the bradly and stryker give the marines the AAV P7A1 and keep LAV so both faction have two apc and add it in the next pr
I think it would be nice in Mutthra city you can give it ethier a 50 cal or an MK 19 grenade luncher you choice but plz add the AAV P7A1 it is still in service and make pr even more realistic

unfortuneatly there is already a beautiful model of this that another mod team made, i think its POE mod? anyway, they refuse to loan any models to PR. its a shame too.

^ isn't this vehicle considered unsuitable as well since it can carry so many people IRL?

well from what i recall about the AAV7, it can carry alot more than 8 people {which is the max for the bf2 engine} however, i dont think it really matters too much because as it is right now, the USMC is in dire need of a proper amphibious vehicle in PR. the LAV is not meant to be launched from carriers and go over the ocean. it is amphibious, but designed to go across rivers and things like that. so really, if we had an AAV7 in PR, it would be a much more realistic vehicle to use on maps like jabal and muttrah, even if it is restricted to 8 people. the POE would be great if they would loan it, but they wont. which means someone would have to model a new one, however then theres the problem that the corps will be phasing them out soon and replace them with EFV {if they can get the EFV program straightend out in time} there was someone working on an EFV model, but i dont know what the current status of it is.

considering doing this as my next big project, caught up in exams at the moment, but i got tons of time over the summer and the weeks leading up to it. and i really need to get my hand on some vehicle modeling again instead of making environments.

If we are on the subject of APCs the British army uses the Bulldog which is similar to the Stryker (ie an APC armed with a MG as opposed to a AIFV like the Worrier, LAV or Bradly). It would be nice to see all faction with both a APC and AIFV as the Chinese are getting a new APC armed with a MG (the type 89 I think).

Just my two cents.

Locked for resuggestion, please search before making a new thread, thanks.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
