Model them closed (or as seperate objects - even better), but we still need interior for the passenger cabin view.

Was hoping for that to :grin: they others looked kinda really low poly/tris count but anyway means that they can have more without any penalty. But will use all 3000tris count and maybe ~500 extra if allowed ;-) so It will look as mean as it dos in real life.

OH! a gold mine thanks :D ya. Now you mention it. I really need to know what type I'm going to model. is there any from PR group that can tell what they want for Hind type?

meantime I can model the interior without knowing what type its going to be. Don't think there is any different between the types interior except the cockpit of course.

Played around with the cockpit window... almost got it :p need more tweaking but will be there. going to play some games now. so more update next couple of days

[R-DEV]Z-trooper will be in contact with you later when I need help :)

EDIT: got 2 new pictures just a little update added some small detail ( look at the tail not really noticeable but its there ) and made the intake bigger so it looks closer to the picture.

Coming along nicely man, those weapon pods are separate objects though aren't they? There should already be the necessary weapons lying about for it which are attached to other vehicles, I think the non-guided missile pods are on the Su-39 for example.

Yes I'm been told. But just want to look at it with weapons ;) will get them off before importing?

Yeah I thought that might be what you'd done, just wanted to check that you'd done it with the weapons as well as the doors, it'd be a pain to have to go back to it later and take the weapons off I'd assume so just thought it'd make sure. Looking good though man!

If you're still wondering what version of the Hind to make, might I suggest the HIND V/P? Unlike other Hinds that are in BF2 SF and related mods that have the gatling gun on the nose, this one has duel cannons on it's right side.

Hi Anariaq,
I wanna give you some handy tips in modeling this Mi-24 Hind,i`ve modeled already one, you can find it right here:

Look at the geometry ,this 3d reference might help you.

TIP:
-Try to model low-poly as possible (depends on what for you`re making the model game/Cg movie),try to model most of geometry from a box, then you have much chance to model optimized model for a game.
-Try to model by looking at the foto pictures of Mi-24 ,first of all you learn faster to model without blueprints just form your head,2nd you have most chance to get realistic model ,use blueprints just for sketch model/basic mesh :)

HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth

Sorry no update yet. Just got home after a family reunion. Will make a little progress in this week. Why little? just got my hands on Black Shark ;)

I was thinking on that one. But one thing about that one. Is that it suddenly become a single person helicopter. no need for a copilot to use some gun. when all can be controlled by the Pilot alone. But I really don't want to continue on this helicopter without knowing what PR want of the Hind. I will continue on the interior for now.

Oleg love your Model really fantastic. And I only use the blueprint to get the overall design of the model. Rest is usually by eye balling the pictures so it look like it. so I hope I can figure out to model like the Pros :D

The model looks awesome!
I think W or D variant would be a good idea. Did u think about working with some community mod that needs it?

It's up to the dev's whether an hind will be in-game or not. ;) Just because it's made, doesn't made it'll make it into PR. ;)
