Suggestion: Ibcrease Stamina Recharge when Crouched

Post by JuniperM40 »

Hello.

Love the stamina for non-armoured players. I feel I can run halfway across Steel Thunder as a Medic. =)

Current: Stamina always replenishes at the same rate whether running at normal place (non-sprinting), walking, crouching, standing, lying down etc.

Suggestion: Make Stamina increase at 2 x rate when crouched. This way one can "rest" for a sec, and do another run. At the current method, whether stopped or on-the-move, stamina recharges at the same rate - it would be more realistic to increase stamina recharge fatser when stopped than on-the-move.

Thanks again for listening.

Hmm, can't edit my thread name (sorry for the spelling - should be "Increase", not "Ibcrease". =)

I can imagine the sprint and crouch combination being exploited. I think a good idea would be to stop your stamina increasing while you're running, so you're either forced to stand still or to slow down in order to sprint in again. In real life jogging has an effect on your stamina too, not just sprinting so it'd make sense to have jogging at least unneffective towards your sprinting.

I guess that's a relief, I can imagine how stupid the Battlefield will look with everyone sprinting around and crouching everywhere. :)

I think your going a bit over board about that mind Malik, i think it would have been a great idea if it could have been implemented. To tell you the truth i alrady thought it was :s when ever i got the chance I would go prone thinking it recharged faster :p how wrong i was.

Actually, that's precisely how it is right now. Many people sprinting between covering/concealment places, crouching on arrival to give a lower profile and help aim. (At least, this is how *I* move around the battlefield!)

What dumb is walking upright, slowly, in the middle of the street. =)

I like your alternate suggestion, tho - to not allow stamina to increase when jogging. i.e. one has to stop to replenish. Good thinking (flip-sides of the same coin - they accomplish the same concept).

Again, that's preclisely how we want you to move.

How do you get, on foot, from one place to another? Jogging straight down an open street, slowly? You're sniper/RPK/SAW meat then.

(And people then complain about the 30 second man-down/respawn times, hah! - Try not to die!)

oh i remembered something i wanted about crouch
to crouch and sprint altogether! or a fast crouch moving coz crouch moving is very slow! you can do this IRL and it is very useful, would be nice on prmm! but i think it's impossible given the bf2 engine... is it?
