"Fitness" and Stamina

Post by Doedel »

I think troops stamina in PR is a little... low.

First time I played this new version the first thing that came to mind was how overweight these guys must be, because they can't jump over two-foot-high obstacles like sandbags, they can only run for about 10 seconds max before having to stop, and a single hop will utterly wind them.

Now, I don't have the benefit of military conditioning and training and I'm packing an extra 50 pounds or so, yet I have more stamina than these guys... please fix!!! I understand they're all packing a lot of equipment weight but they're trained for that!

Well, they are carrying 70 lbs of gear.

Sprint should be longer, though.

the jump bit is to stop bunny hopping. and it works. Sprinting gets you out of the way of bulliets in PR cos you need to sprint for cover. If you jump in the middle of a street you loose all your sprint, and then you are ****.

simple and effective. A climb feature would be amazing but i think it would be extremely complicated to implament and probaly impossible, so i guess there is no point me trying make a long, very impressive and purswasive case for implamenting them.

an alternative is to make all the walls that should be capable of cimbing over just a little bit smaller :p

but that requires so much changing, if they do it, it must happen in PR.4, cos any latter and it will take too much time - i think?!?

BUT they still got to give cover when crouching!

Climbing... I'd love it.
Now you can't even climb over a simple fence.

yes it is true.

but somethins is concerning me. you jump 2 times and you're out of stamina. ok. but you still can jump even out of stamina! then you can jump endlessly, and this sucks

Don't jump then. I rarely jump in a situation where any enemy is nearby. You'll find that 99% of areas on maps have a way round, if you're going to be lazy and hop over that barrier, pay the price.

I agree with the climbing thing, i hate it when i go to jump over a 2-3 foot wall and i cant get over it, being able to pull yourself over higher things would be cool to

I wonder, would it be possible to the change low level walls in such a way that they share similar properties to a sloped mound?
I.e. on the two karkand maps theres that small circular pit with the hole on the side. When you walk towards said hole you just walk UP it, so you don't have to jump out.
