Weapons

Post by John-117 »

You now the weapons if the humvees, range rovers etc. is it possible to be able to take the weapons off. I mean the engineer can unbolt the 50 cal off a humvee and infantry could use it. on deploye on the floor cos that would help infantry

not going to happen guarantee a hardcoding here

HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth

In addition to it being hardcoded, we have deployable .50 Cal machine guns already. And for fire support, a light machine gun should most likely be enough anyway.

Rambo style?

Hardcoded basicly means that the BF2 engine won't support the feature.

yes, this is beyond the limits of the BF2 engine.

Also, I doubt its realistic since those 50s are probably strapped on pretty hard cuz of the recoil? Would take like...1/2hr to get it off or something?

Locked for being hardcoded.

That and utterly silly. An M2 wieghs in at 38kg and if you take one off a jeep you're not going to have a tripod to use it.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!
