So no, I won't. I would rather a few changes be made to Project Reality, and play it that way. I love the mod, and I would love it more with a few gameplay tweaks.
I don't like walking and doing nothing. Is there a problem with that? No. Am I allowed to say what I don't like and do like? Yes.
See, this is where I'm confused.
You like rallypoints. You like the teamwork. You like the new models. You like the factions. You don't like walking.
You would like the team who made the rallypoints, who forced the teamwork, who made the models, who created the factions, to reduce the amount of walking for you.
What you're missing is that the team that put the rallypoints in, forced the teamwork, made the models, created the factions... love the walking, love the slower pace, want the mod to be the way it is.
It's not like saying "there's a bit too much deviation, it just doesn't handle quite right", or saying "the T-90 is virtually indestructable, and needs its armour dropping slightly". It's not an issue of balancing an asset against its counterparts - it's an intended, desired, and almost key part of the Mod.
If you want pretty models, different factions, some gameplay innovations - there are plenty of great mods out there like FH2, EoD2 and OPK, for example... asking the Devs to change core and fundemental parts of this mod simply doesn't fly because it's the way that the team want it, and fairly specifically want it.

Re: XYBOT1 thoughts on PR
I agree with almost evrything Xybot said, we need the same deviation for ironsights and scopes, the same recoil, did you knew that ironsights have 40% more recoil when sighted compared to scoped rifles(might not be true just read it in another topic)? You feared the the ironsight could kill in mid engagements is that whi it has more deviation compared to scoped weapons, they should have the same deviation after all its the same weapon. And if you dont want to decrease the deviation perhaps you could make the bullets more lethal, because now it takes 3bullets in the body to die(2 for insurgents), this is too much...
I dislike the deviation, because i keep on missing after staying on the ground for 4 secs aiming towards the enemy, what happend after he just turned and killed me in 2sec...
The runing. The "jog" speed feels unatural i feel like im walking, its even similar to the crouched speed, the sprint feels like a fast jog for me.I would like to see diffrent sprint time for medics, compared to HT or LT...
About the falling from the cliff, slope. Its not issue i even think its realistic, u know that if you jump from more than 3m there is a danger of brokin somthing, and if u jump from 2-3 meters you can easily sprain one of your legs, and you wont be able to walk for 2-3 days plus the soldiers carry much heavy eqipment.
The LAT weapons. They are verry limited now plus the scopes for MEC, GB and US are verry hard to aim with especially if there is a vodnik near you driving around, you should at least be able to see him, but you cant because the scope is covering too much of your sight.
About insurgency.US can destroy weapons caches bu shooting them, the ins lost theyr random spawn points and now theyr caches are easily destructable, counting that the coalition have 300tickets, i suggest either to remove the coalition obtaing 10tickets after destroying a cache or the coalition should start with 200tickets.
And one final suggestion.Give the attack helicopters theyr spot system back to what it was in 0.75 representing that they can spot the vehicule very easy with theyr thermal sight, and give some chance to the cas planes to be able to shoot tanks without laser targets, perhaps they should be able to see the location of the tank(similar to vanilla where you can see that if you selected bombs) when selected theyr main weapon (gau-8 for a10).
Remeber this is just a suggestion...

Re: XYBOT1 thoughts on PR
The main issues i have with the game are
1. Sprint and jump amounts (especially the number of jumps it takes to reduce stamina (lol like 2), fix that and i would be able to live with sprint amount)
2. Fall damage (I hop a fence that had boxes that i deemed designed to be jumped over and i start bleeding)
3. Time it takes to aim a scoped rifle (it is so ridiculous, even the sniper can zoom in faster than the rifleman)
Those are the main three issues I have. I have no problem with deviation in this game as i realize that the BF2 engine is limited. The people who complain about sniper vs rifleman, as a sniper you shouldnt have even been spotted in the first place.

I loved 0.8 because people like the OP disappeared (I assumed he did), these people were detrimental to the game and I enjoyed the last version a lot more than 0.85 because of this simple factor. I know this thread is quite old now and it came out before the latest version was released, but I grew tired of hearing select members of the community endlessly rant on about how much they hate the game.
Vanilla is right there waiting if you would rather a run and gun experience with no substance. Last version, if you stuck together you came out on top - it really brought to light the core of PR.......TEAMWORK!!!!! Though I agree in 0.85 if you manage to reel together lots of troops together you are way more effective, the game play simply isn't brutal enough. I really am looking forward to the medic changes next version, I think it will add a lot more immersion as opposed to everyone being revived constantly.
On another note, the DEV's did it all for a reason and I think they did a damn good job with everything, just sometimes, things within the mod become very complicated and it's impossible to know how a huge community like PR's will react before release.

He mentioned that in his postR.J.Travis wrote:Post is old bro look at the dates Mod?
Though I agree, its a bit of a time specific thread and no longer really relevant/worth bringing up. For that reason, and as I only see this going poorly[rants, warns, and such] Im just gonna lock itChiefRyza wrote:I know this thread is quite old now and it came out before the latest version was released, but I grew tired of hearing select members of the community endlessly rant on about how much they hate the game.
