I started to play PR last night, and I found what I was looking for in the BF2 original setting, the mod is just great, it indeed is about reality, I longed for players like me, players that like to play seriously and in harmonious team work... everything is great, but above all, I think the required kits for certain vehicles and planes/chops is just awesome, it sucked to watch a sniper in BF2 get in a Heli then fly over that tall building, jump from the chopper and open his parachute 4 meters from the floor and then witness the Heli hit the ground....one word.. ARCADE, I hate arcade, simulation rules! FTW!! PR is great!
Now the bad side...and very sad by my side, I am brazilian and I didn't find any servers within my country, my ping always stays around 180+, and sometimes "There is a problem with your connection" freezes, this is a real pain in the arse. English is not a issue, as I can perfectly understand and somewhat communicate(reply) well. But as if it wasn't bad enough.... I'm being kicked by admins for High Ping and one even banned me instantly...damn, why is that? I always thought that my lag was MY lag, local, solo, I mean.. it wouldn't affect people on the server, at least not enough to raise their ping by more than 0.1%. I know a decent ping is required for a decent experience.. will this mean that I won't be able to play PR just because my ping is not under 100ms? This morning, even with my ping, I made 5 kills and died 2 times in a certain moment(before I got kicked btw), I know this is like *fart sound* nothing but is just the beggining, so why I keep getting kicked if I in fact am able to play normally more than 90% of my time online and am whiling to work with my teamates
Sometimes it does get to 400ms but is just a peak, afterward it drops to 200's
Edit: I just found a server in my country, lol one, even though I'll still wish to play with my international felow players ;D
