Because the primary role of a sniper is to spot out enemies for the troops?
And the best way to do that is to have the equipment to do so...
Frankly if Snipers dont have binocs then no other class should..

Neither. Military issue binoculars contain a reticle that aids in the adjustment of indirect fire. Forward observation is one of the missions of the military sniper.

But who wants to spot when one can SNIPE? I mean, sure the screenies look nice, but how many times has one actually volunteered to spot for his sniper-equal? I mean, I have once or twice to conserve my ammo, but no one really wants to do so.

it would also be better to give the sniper the rangefinder binocs. If this was the case, it would be easier to pair up an anti tank with a sniper, or a specops with an antitank, or a specops with a sniper. The range of the binocs should increase, to give it an advantage over sniper rifles.

love the 2x post.

If the sniper was acturly a team player he would spot out some enemys to alert his fellow Team Mates that they are about to get flanked. Then the sniper can igonre them and not give away his postion, or he could try and pick off a few heads but that might get him killed depending on where he is, how many enemys are down there ect.

Ither way, his team mates should then be ready for the flank or what ever and can react against it.

But you are mainly talking about the silly pubbies that normaly think about kills first yes? If they start working as a team ect they will find out why its good to work as a team and not lone wolf it. I know that my clan, other clans, the tourney guys and some mates playing PR together will use the bicos for the right reason and if the pubbies dont use them for the right reason then its there fault.

Actually i am almost 100% of the time a sniper i got support every now and then but when im a sniper i use the binocs all the time i sit on a roof join a squad and tell my squad were people are which way to flank and if any tanks are in the area this give us a a big advantage as i can spot alot of people and they can take them out but do u get teamwork points for this??? because that would be a good idea sniper spotters get team points for each spot they do? the only time i actually shoot my gun is when i see an anti tank shooting at a tank i take him out as to not lose a vechile. or if i see another sniper i take him out or if someone is standing there looking for people if someone is moving i spot them and let them be. it is up to my squad to do the work.

I love using the binocs when I'm an M24 sniper. I use the binocs to look around for targets (it has a shorter zoom and a wider view, I can see more and it reduces my profile to enemies). Then, when I see the target I pull up the sniper and find him again and shoot. Apparently these guys don't understand the purpose of giving a sniper a zooming tool when the sniper scope can do it, but I use them all the time for the reasons I just gave.

Also, it's not true that the binocs have a longer zoom. They have the same zoom as the SVD, Type 88 and SPR and a shorter view than the M24.

I disagree Malik. I can see FAR more clearly/in greater detail with binos

i use to spot with the scope.. almost same range of view of the bino and if the spotted fellow stops i can give a headshot to teach him a lesson about stoping in a battlefield

The semi auto rifles generally have the same room as the binocs, the M24 is a fair bit longer. Either way, I don't use them for the zoom, I use the binocs to reduce my visible profile or when I want a better scan of the area when I'm using the M24. :)
