man, look at what one simple little change could possibly do to bf2 including mods, just makes me wish ea and dice would get off their behinds and at least consider a wider options of the source code to mod developers , and yes i understand its ea's property ,but what could possibly go wrong ,if im not mistaken isnt mods bound by some sorta agreement to not make a profit or share any of the material as it is now , so why not open the doors more and truly unlock the full potential of bf2

Yeah, lets hope it will be changeable. But even though if it doesn't, we can still say goodbye to instaproning - you will be inaccurate in the seconds you go prone, which ofc is the main reason it gets changed for vBF2 as well.. ;)

Best feature of the 1.5  . Now they just have to add the BF2142 weapon sway to make PR close to perfect.

Does this mean we can have an increase in overall accuracy and a decrease in wait time (from walking to standing)? :)

Does PR have any accuracy penalty when standing up from prone?

No, but you can't shoot for a seccond or something.

correct, it has that vbf2 "shuffle". it has no deviation from crouch to standing either ,which i use CONSTANTLY to my advantage.

The worst is the fact that there's no penalty for going from crouched to standing. People popping up and down over a wall, shooting, gets really annoying.

Believe it or not, BF2 will finally get deviation when going prone (like BF2142 have). This must be good for PR too, right? :D

WOOT! I was kinda impressed to see this though as Bazajaytee said earlier that this would require a massive rewrite which they didn't have time for. But anyway, its finally here (coming for 1.50 beta3/final).

There's still a lot of bugs in BF2, I know that, but I'm starting to feel that DICE are making up for the horrible Patch 1.3.. just a little ;)

What do you think guys?
:15_cheers :FINALLY!

DICE finally gets some brains and fixes something in a patch that was actually broken. I can't wait to try it out. (As you can guess I hate instaproners more than anybody else except for bunnyhoppers).

The Soviets may have only gotten as far as East Germany, but they took the rest of the continent without firing a single shot.

It's nice to be optimistic but I have some reservations about the patch. This is EA/Dice we are talking about, have they ever come through on anything before? From memory, no. Every patch seems to add problems since 1.0.

Fingers crossed, though.

Patches are not as easy as you think and I'm guessing the BF2 division is on the bottom of the "Whats Important" list. I wouldn't be surprised if only a handful of guys are working on it full time.

If PR had to fix ALL the problems we have every patch you would never see any patches. ;-)

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Janitor/Cleaner working on the patches as he passes a workstation that has been left on and unlocked while mopping the floors and listening to an iPod with an eclectic mix of Nickelback and The Spice Girls.

I don't think you can defend EA/Dice in this case. Many other companies can release patches that improve games. Since day dot, BF2 has been plagued with odd, broken patches.
