A somewhat realistic solution to the current training maps, most notably kashan desert.

For example.. Vehicles camping infantry spawns.


So my solution..

Design a map that is essentially a large "bunker" area, maybe twice the size of one of the bunkers in kashan. So essentially.. there is your Infantry training.

Now, on the outside of that area, would be the rest of the map. If possible, include all the vehicles from all of the different factions, like the Lynx.


Think Battle of Qinling, except the lake in the middle of the map have a giant bunker for infantry.

I was talking to someone while playing Kashan training.. don't quite remember who it was.. but he insisted that it shall be named the "Thunder Dome" xD



There will also probably be some people saying if you want a new map make it yourself. I'm just giving the dev's some ideas. This is a suggestion thread after all, if I was planning on making a map I would certainly post it somewhere else ;)

Yes, I did look in the *** (lol) thread, the only one that had to do with this topic was "training maps". Nothing about fixing issues within them.

Not a bad suggestion actually, the only problem I see with it is obviously it's a new map and new models for the bunker

The problem with people camping the spawns is:

Lack of admins.

People.

I find the spawn rape very easy to get around, but if you are having problems there are plenty of training servers.

Brilliant!

Better yet do a layers version like AAS. 16 player Kashan would have light vehicles, 32 would have tanks and choppers and 64 would be like now. Real tank battles with fast respawns would be good for training.

It wud be cool having a just training map, which is more like a military camp, with the "enemy" spawning in like villages and a massive dome of death around the camp, and some fo the surrounding terrain, then outside there are more areas where u can work with an enemy, with like bombing ranges n villages etc.
Interested In airsofting, but feeling the pinch of the credit crunch?

TBH go play training and do what you do. ignore all the idiots whining most of the time they are just bitching because people are not playing how they want them to.

Well instead of making three seperate maps.. this would be a hella lot easier. You still have infantry that are confined to block out tanks, jets, etc. And then have Jets, Helis, AA, And armor to roam about to their will. A forestish map would be good for this.



Again while playing on the same training server, I brought up the subject and he said if there was a giant "force field" around infantry training, where only infantry could enter, it would make training more enjoyable.

So this is like a realistic version of that idea. The bunker type main building could have a large main room, or a series of larger rooms, and then hallways, ladders, etc. It would also help clans out for training infantry.. for some of them that do.

And the outside of the map, have a variety of terrains.. mountains, clearings.. etc.

@Nick20404 and Alex6714: This is a suggestion about making a completely new map to solve some issues, not a suggestions on how to avoid nubs or to discuss why there's a problem.

@503: There's a training map for the russians.. it only has infantry, quads, motorbikes, and trucks. It's not on many servers tho.. which is why this one kinda fills in all the blanks instead of leaving things out.

PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS MAN!!!!

I was at a LAN center for the first part of this semester, and every time I got a group of guys together, Because they couldn't join a LAN Trainer, I had to join the Internet trainers.

RAGE QUIT

Please listen Dev 1200, I tried to recruit as much as possible, but I can't train anyone.

You can't train anyone because the infantry village sometimes get raped on Kashan Desert?

How about a different area of the map, a different map, a different server, singleplayer, a real match (where you actually learn to be a grunt anyway).
