Well I suppose we will have to put the player's view fairly close to the sight. Not too close mind you otherwise they'll get virtual Steyr-eye (also known as a black-eye which is caused by the rearward travel of the telescopic sight).

I thought you had to disassemble the Steyr to get at that locking pin.

still wont work have a look at this...

The following is the only way i can see us being able todo this...
Ok so what we would have todo is squash the sight along the y axis making it shorter but no diffrent when looking down the sight.. Have a look...

First pic is just looking straite down the sight normal
Image
Second is a cut back option that is only cut back when looking down sight

Perfect Tonnie, that second picture is pretty darn close to the real sight picture you get from the 1.5x standard sight.

Oh and is there any word on what the Infantry Optics kit will be using? The ACOG or this standard sight?

The ACOG is very prevalent through the battalions nowadays.

Hey mate cheers, we will have both... i think the plan is the optic sight replaces the iron sight m16 and the acog gos on the acog m16 and the ELCAN on the aimpoint version... :mrgreen:

What core are you in and what unit?

[R-CON]tonnie15 wrote:hey LyRiCs welcome to the forums mate.... When changing fire mode basicly the way the f88 works is there is a pin under the trigger and when pulled to the out position it locks the trigger so the trigger can not be pulled to the second trigger presser, but when the pin is pushed in the trigger can be pulled right back for full automatic fire.
Hey =)

i know, how the F88 works in "real" i was at the Austrian Army, we also have the F88 in use... but we call it Steyr (producer) AUG (Armee-Universal-Gewehr or in english: Army Universal Gun) STG77 (Sturmgewehr 77 in german.)
But i mean, how will be in PR? You cant push your mouse button into an second position, otherwise i would like to see youre mouse :lol:

i think the only way for a PC game is to toggle between the firemodes with any key, like "3" in BF2... thats bad for the F88, but better then nothing or only full auto... ;)

that was my question, i think i asked it in a crazy way...
but say it to me, do you understand my english, or is it really hard to read? *g*
I NEVER ask this question, but im really intrested about it :o ops:

greetings =)

ok,

1.. The Australian army does not use the "same" styer as they do in Austria, The Australian defense force bought the styers plans and almost completely revamped it to what you see today the F88 Aus Styer.

2.. Yes the only way is as you have said pressing 3 again to change fire modes

youd think that after seeing that it has a big fat "Aus" in front of it that it wasnt the same type of styer...how frustrating...

Tonnie, is that sight the equivalent of an iron sight or is there 'magnification' with it?

theres a 1.5 magnification on it, but we have no iron sighted styers (i mean theres one built on top of the optic sight, but thats only affective within 25m)

Can this be done Chuc? If so that would be better.

altho i would still prefer if the animation was the left hand comes up and pops the pin in or out (Or if its only one animation make it look like he fiddles with the pin)
