[R-CON]Glimmerman asked me if i could do another static for him so watched a movie and have bit of progress. Long way to go but something to look at. :)

16k tris? where on earth are you using all thous tris? Far too high for a static like that. Oh I see you also have a player model in your selection, how many is it without him (and any other stuff you dont need)?

also is that glass you have modelled there? Glass if you really want it needs to be exported as a separate, bundled mesh then added back in as a child object in the editor via code. But ye, you really shouldn't have any glass there if you want to make it a shooting position.

Also are you using the crappy camo net texture? I think you are... you should be using this camo net texture: \objects\vegitation\PR\textures\camonet.dds

You need to do some optimization on your main model too, dont leave it too late as if you do you will probably forget until after you have done your UVs.

anyways ye, other than that looking good so far :)

ignore that its the other models in the scene file> just the selection one. But once again nothing getting pass rhino :) 3k polys and 4k tri's

Yeah textures from pr\textures\camo_net_alpha_de.dds want to know how to to the vegitation for it.

At the min it's still got a way to go, and still able to change a lot all in the modifier stack :)

ye, dont use that texture, its being phased out of PR slowly.

and ye, 4k tris is a little high but can go upto 5k tris and providing you have good LODs, COLs etc should be fine.

Looking good mate....

Now the criticism... :P
- The balcony around the tower in the pic is wider wile in the model you made its pretty small
- The balcony fence in the pic has a materiel draped on it, in the model its like a normal fence
- The handrails on the ladder are too close to the ladder itself (Maybe get the soldier model and put it on the ladder to see how high it should be....
- Ok the Camo net on top (I know its WIP but) it does need a fair bit of attention as you can tell.
- Overall poly size, try and cut back on things that wont be up close to the player...

I do have a question tho.. What movie did you watch, i ask because i am doing up some statics for the same map lol :P .... But i need to see what the aussie area inside looks like, does the movie show much of the inside?

oh ye btw, I made some of the canvus material you see round the baloney, its to block out silhouettes :)

You can see them next to my Hesco Sangar in this pic ontop of the Hesco ;)

that is static and probably best left static tbh, it would look really odd with thous creases unchanging with the rest of it waving around :p

Nice progress :) One point I want to suggest: the balcony looks a lot smaller than in the reference pics. From the bottom to the top I mean.

yeah, make the balkony wider and make the top look, like its also fixed on the small poles on the edges, so you should bend them up a bit

Going to have to change the stairs to a ladder the angle is too steep for stairs, it's like your crawling up , is there any addition settings that i could change, other than using the COL texture stairs.

SCRUB the stairs bit, found somehow the materials had go screw and was trying to climb up penetrable cloth
