Ah Bob will relish in this, I am sure.

Re: g3 TRI-RAIL HAND GUARD
Note that M1913 rails aren't square, they're actually shaped like this:

For references for the G3 rifle, have a look at this:
Personal photo album gallery of DeicideNBF
The most awesome site for modelling references I've ever come across. I know there's a G3 album in there.
EDIT: The G3 album: http://www.pixagogo.com/7780204144
It should also be noted that many of the G3 references are actually pics of an AG3, the Norwegian version of the G3. Recognizable by the thumb groove on the bolt carrier, as well as the slightly modified cocking handle (for ease of operating with winter gloves on, I reckon) and the "AG3 ######" + Kongsberg stamp on the magazine well. I believe the buttstock is something like 2 cm longer as well.

I advise you import and use the current G3 we have ingame as a point of reference for the handguard model.

And, by the way, I've already made a railed-handguard AG3:

Might give some ideas/inspiration.

KP can you send me pictures where you got your design from. Not doubting you just never seen a G3 with that rail adaptor look like thing. All the ones ive seen are 3 rails covering the whole hand guard. Thank you.

Yeah, it's all the aftermarket parts you're finding. Search for "AG3F2", the Norwegian military designation for the AG3 with collapsible stock and rails.
