The second map: Qwai

Why o why is the second map always Qwai River on any server I join???
I join a server, I play out the current map, and the map switches to: QWAI!!
I get really sick of that map this way...

Do servers have their maplist running like this or something?

- Kabal
- Qwai
- Muttrah
- Qwai
- Basrah
- Qwai
- Another random map
- Qwai
ect
ect
ect

?

Hmm I used to experience this a lot in 0.7 which made me sick of the map back then, too. :p

I'm almost sure that map lists are well mixed and unrepeatable ;)

Maybe it happens like this because players vote for that map as the next one :)

what's the problem? qwai is one of the best maps in pr imho ;)

i guess it's just bad (or good) luck :)

i have to agree with this. on the other hand i could ask the same thing about kashan. but it all comes down to personal preference.

Everyone wants to have some fun in tanks or choppers before those are removed from qwai. :razz:

Quai is a very comfortable map. There are areas that arnt repetitive enough to be cought in all the time like in other maps. also, with AAS3 its very successful. you can be any class and at the same time, the gameplay is usually slower than other maps. you can sprint all you want but you cant help but observe cover and utilise the terrain even if you are a noob ^_^

I really liked the map during 0.5/0.6
But playing it every freaking time?

it's also like this:

1st map: Usually joining mid-round
2nd map: Starting from scratch till end
3rd map: Getting to late, gotta go.

So the 2nd map is usually the real map you play :p

Qwai River is the epitome of asymmetrical balance. We will have to wait and see how it plays out with the removal of the tanks and little birds however. My real hope is that they would go ahead and put the overgrowth fields in already! But that has already been discussed here and here....

if your serious about that, then you need to analyse the most successful parts of the map and recreate along with new good stuff, or else it wont have the same popularity.
