Just bumping this up to make sure we get the numbers.
Just to make certain everything is working right, if you aren't hearing anyone in the server go to config, settings, network, tcp mode and tick that box. Don't do it if you don't need to though. This may only appy to the pr.04 beta mumble.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Right, if the mumble server is still broken go to settings/networks and you'll see run in TCP mode, tick that and then apply it. That will then allow you to talk to each other, in theory

It will apply to any version of mumble. The problem is server side. It stops routing UDP packets for some reason (which is what mumble normally uses for the VOIP traffic).Dr2B Rudd wrote: This may only appy to the pr.04 beta mumble.

-To me it seems like the reason is due to the amount of people on, that's when sound has dropped for me. Maybe the traffic gets too high and murmur has a nervous breakdown[R-DEV]Twisted Helix wrote:It will apply to any version of mumble. The problem is server side. ^ well as twisted explained it to me TCP helps the server cope with so many people. Turning your quality settings down from max might help too.

Yeah it seems its something to do with overloading. Everyone turning down their quality settings from 10 to 8 or 6 might help in reducing the load on the server. Although there is a parameter in the murmur.ini file which can limit bandwidth to individual connections ... but I have no idea if it has been implemented (the server is nothing to do with me).

Re: .:iGi:. Mumble Night Sunday 24th
Ill be coming along to see how it goes. It will be interesting to see how mumble copes with a full server, and how it affects gameplay.
In not a massive fan of mumble at the moment, but I can certainly see its potential when the whole team is using it.
( Shameless plug bit
: )
The Reality Teamwork Community forum is open now :
Reality Teamwork
The server will be going live later this week, and will have a permanent compulsory mumble rule, and eventually a white list of teamwork orientated players. ( Bear in mind that the website and forum isn't 100% complete yet )
If you want to know what its about, heres the thread:
