Well todays sudjestion is just a quick one.
The insurgents must be using a cloning program... there is almost no diffrence with them. At all. one of them wears a white shirt and grey pants and the other a armoured vest and blue shirt and grey pants. they all wear scarfs to.
I think that you should add some new skins to the insurgents. (not the talibian though even though that would be nice)
a new skin might be somebody with maybe jeans on with a black shirt and maybe a bandana or sumthing over his mouth and nose.
maybe a insurgent with some black sweat pants and a T-shirt or something with a blue scarf instad of red.
it would be nice to see this applied insurgents being my second favorite team (fav in US army cant get over the
m4 for some reason)

Re: Insurgent Skins
I like this. Too much insurgents look exactly the same. It would be nice to have some variety.

Re: Insurgent Skins
Eh, sounds kinda sadistic, why in the name of Jesus you need insurgent skins... Are you Predator or something?
ON-TOPIC. Would be nice, but [R-CON]Ragni<RangersPL> I don't think you can edit their skins. They are from SF, am I right?

+1 means he agrees. Though when doing this please also post something else or youll probably get warned for contributing nothing to the threadgas104 wrote:why is so much stuff from VBF2
and what does +1 mean..point system?
We use a lot of objects from vBF2 because it would be pointless to rework something thats already entirely usable in game when there are things that vBF2 doesnt have already that we really need
If I understood your question correctly... like kit objects/vests/canteens, etc

Re: Insurgent Skins
But do you realize how much time these high quality PR models take? They take a lot of time. And the time they take, is taken away from things we dont already have a BF2 model for. We knock things like the M16 and M4 out of the way when we need to, but some things are just fine as they are, at least for nowgas104 wrote:but if you made the same thing it would be better in detail...etc its like using the vbf2 m16e2 over our pr m16e4

Re: Insurgent Skins
The problem with skin variations among the insurgents is that there are all of 2 player models: Guy with PASGT and Guy without, with a variety of reskins.
The US Forces currently use 3 different player models: USMC_Heavy, USMC light, and PLA heavy. On top of this, there are two different face variants for the usmc light player model (beardo and bigchin.) That gives the US forces 5 different variations of player models.
If you look at MEC or the Russ Fed guys, you'll notice they both have a guy whose face will chill you to the bone. He (I believe) is the result of experimentation with reskinning the MEC Heavy player model face. Doing things like texturing balaclava or ski masks over regular faces will have a similar affliction,

Remaking the Insurgent kit geometries is on MY shortlist, whether or not that happens.

Re: Insurgent Skins
I can think of at least variants in game at the moment. Face scarf with vest, face scarf with white t-shirt, black t-shirt with blue pants, and white shirt(shotgun), gray pants(civie). That's enough in my opinion. I guess a conventional army has more varients but they(the US) have a white, black and asian player model coupled with different kit geometries(grenades, rocket tubes etc), but that is expected of an army with different classes not a rag-tag militia.
Also, with the current kit geometries(picking up the hats/vest) you can customize your guy to numerous possibilities!!

Re: Insurgent Skins
you think its bad now? i think in .8 there was even less variation of the insurgents, they really looked all the same. however, back in .5, the insurgents really had alot of variety and thats due to 2 kits that are now long gone. the old war vet, who had a mec uniform and no helmet, and the grenadier? i think who used one the russian kits from the SF pack. the war vet looked a little out of place, even though he was cool. the grenadier was menacing looking though, and really i think he should be put back in with a re-skin because his camo was more like a woodland-urban type camo so it did look a little out of place but that can be fixed then atleast we would have one more model to use for insurgents.
