Commander "asset" A change in the ROE

Post by Tarantula »

Ok basically in a particullarly long game of insurgency say 50mins. The commander gets the option for a "change in the ROE " like an area attack it has its own bar.

Then he has a 10 minute window to activate the change in the ROE, he could activiate it the moment he gets it or at the end of the 10 minutes, but after those 10 minutes are up he cannot activate it.

If a squad or numerous squads are having trouble seiging a particular cache or building becasue of civilians mortars or being spotted they could ask for this "Change in the ROE"

This allows them to attack civilian targets for a 5-10 minute time limit.

If this is possible could be useful to ending a game of insurgency which has gone on far too long and is realistic. At the end o fthe day those civilians are in a warzone jumping around on buildings along with the insurgents even if they dont have their medibags out.

Allowing civilians to be targeted for any reason is just disgusting. I don't care if some do it IRL, it's not allowed, and shouldn't be encouraged ingame. Period.

Civilian kills should be punished MORE not given leeway to be punished LESS!

To be honest this just helps the Blufor by not punishing for when they kill civis, 7/10 i just get shot by blufor because they are too lazy. The only time in game you should shoot the civis if they are healing the insurgent you are killing, but in .6 you dont even have that reason due to the new revive system.

Last thing insurgency needs, is more civilian deaths. Most of the time I see civilians being killed purposely again and again even when they get revived by other civilians especially by snipers. The punishment should be greatly increased instead.

1. Is it worth it?

The mod team has limited means and can only set out for so many ends. While adding the ultra-elite counter terrorist Vatican Swiss Guards as a new faction would be cool, ultimately it would require an awful lot of time and add little to our mod.
