I realllllly dont see why the devs didnt do this first. It should be common sense, with out a parachute you cant para drop, Instead they take away the pilots only weapon...w.e If you can't give them Pistols can you at least give them some bad *** ninja moves or something
? Maybe a sup3r l33t wa11 c1imb ability?

If you want to go back a page and maybe throughout the thread to read other peoples opinions on the matter, I had a idea to solve the pilots in helicopter problem. As of now with the current pilot if he had a pistol I say design the entry system so only 1 pilot can be in the chopper. If another pilot tries to enter its death within a few seconds. If thats possible I don't know for sure, but its the only solution I can think of that no one else seems to have come up with yet.ozliam41 wrote:pilots having pistols is stupid than u can have a full heli of pilots paradrop than can cap something and kill enemy
Now if we do add a helicopter pilot kit, he would have no parachute. A sub or rifle for defense if drowned but would not be ideal other than squad/heli defense.
He would only be ideal to defend himself outside of the cockpit for the following reasons
1. Equipment is not suited to frontline fighting with a rifle with limited clips and no gernades or any other weapons besides a knife there is little to no effectiveness is this sense, if you want to fight on the frontlines pick a different kit.
2. No parachute so no paradropping issues that were in previous versions.
I hope that is a little more to add to what i've previously started.

Well with the new system for .86 choppers crash landing will apparently be alot more common, which means:
1) Pilots will need some sort of weapon to defend themselfs
2) They wont needs parachutes
So at this stage I see the most feasible option as to have 2 different pilot kits, where the pilot for jets gets a chute and no weapon, and the heli pilot gets a weapon but no chute.
Simple yet effective.

Pilots can´t cap flags anyway, and if you get killed by a guy with a pistol in a 6 man attent squad you fully deserve it.ozliam41 wrote:pilots having pistols is stupid than u can have a full heli of pilots paradrop than can cap something and kill enemy
I think all thats needed is that pilots can´t pick up any other kit. 2 different kits would be awesome, but if its too much work then the other might be a solution.

I dont really think this needs changing, and also i heard a great idea about changing the ROE with pilots, taking parachutes away from pilots would mean that there would be less fun gameplay moments for example: Helo going down, pilot jumps out, they capture pilot (dnt shoot him as they will loose points) Pilot's team come to rescue him.

But beef in new patch helicopters can survive crashes for a limited time to allow pilot to jump out.

Ok, but the fact that jet pilots cant even board the helo's as a passenger sucks, what happens if they need evac in a bad situation, it will be a 'Hold on pilot, ive just got to select a new kit' I mean how many people do u see doing halo drops on PR anyway?!

I tried dropping Grottim off out of my heli yesterday but he jumped before we were high enough :d uh:, got wounded and then realised he'd gone on a building he couldn't get down from. So that didn't work.
The problem with giving pilots any kind of weapon is that people go teamkilling each other on carriers for the aircraft. Normally if you want a heli you have to wait around as a pilot to get in one quickly enough, so without the old pistol there's much less teamkilling than before.

Yea, there's still teamkilling, and it's still just as much up to a good admin to take care of.

Anyone that tks purposely should get a !b instantly. I'd say give the pilot his weapon and let the admins fuck up anyone that abuses it by tking on the airfield.McLuv wrote:Yea, there's still teamkilling, and it's still just as much up to a good admin to take care of.

Maybe real life doesn't always relate to a video game no matter how high we fly the Project Reality flag.Deadpool2894 wrote:Maybe pr devlopers should look at a real jet pilot kit and heli
