I know the feeling.
You have your squad on the carrier, you're amped up to jump in a heli and get to the battle all dramtically via that really sweet heli insertion, or maybe you have that Sniper kit that is so hard to get and you're set on getting dropped behind enemy lines and start blowing peoples heads off.......But wait, what heli is actually gonna make it to land? Out of all these heli pilots, which one will actually be a decent enough pilot to do the job right, the first time.

Well I just want to say that if you see my name and I am flying, which I most likely will be doing.....THAN HOP ON IN.

I have trained for many hours, perfecting my air trans skills.

I have made mistakes, still do, although very rarely now.

I have also made MANY successful drops, whether that's a water drop, hovering drop or rooftop insertion.

What I'm saying is that if I'm flying (AIR TRANS IS ALL I DO), hop on in. Your chances are not guaranteed that you'll make, no pilot can give you a 100% guarantee, but I'd give a good 98.9% chance that you and your guys, and your special kits will make it successfully to your destination.

What you do from there is up to you and your squad.

Aslong as you dont start screaming BAIL OUT at 50 altiutude and 200kph over the muttrah hills, i will be happy to jump into your helicopter.

Well hop on our server Could use some good pilots because as much as I like flying sometimes i just want to take a break from it, and more often than not when I am not flying I see helis crash and/or get shot down left and right.

I'm not saying that I'm perfect. But I am good. Sh*t does happen at times, things go wrong and some situations are unavoidable.
Equally frustrating for the pilot and team member.

LOL bailout at 50, isnt it 75? jk. If I hover a couple feet off of uneven terrain, just hop out I'm not landing.

I am a very good pilot, if you see a tomato flying a huey, your best bet is me. Wether its very hot drop zone, or a behind lines you will make it alive, roof top or hill. I always land, i hate when pilots hover drop, because they can never hover low enough too drop down without loosing some health.

I can fly etc but i tend to get freeze ups mid flight (only once or twice when maps fully loading) so it deters me from flying in pub games.

As for lag issues. Flying seems to me to be pretty intensive on your PC at times. Mine does that, but only on about 2 servers. and in those 2 I wont fly. Ramiel also is not a good map for me cause it lags me no matter what, at least for the first 2-3minutes.

Hover drops are sometimes necessary, not all ground is even and the flat area may have enemies on it. I can hover low enough though so now worries.


Players who wish to fly in PR should have to pass some sort of flight test that unlocks it for them.

hmmmmmmmm i reckon a thread similar to the PR squad member recommendation thread might be somewhat useful, so people can recommend the guys that do well so others may benefit in future battles

Besides the point yes those of us who do fly are pretty good. Im patrial to the Huey and wont really go in the other choppers but i can still fly them. Once on Barracudda I got top spot on the team as the trans pilot. Was pretty sad that my flying a transport chopper got number 1 spot out of the whole team, i only went down once that match too.

Guys I am the master of the huey chopper!
Either it Transport or attack I can avoid any AA, No matter how close it is and how good is the AA gunner.
I practise 3 hours everyday (Almost everyday) on flying the Huey 1.5 Hour in the Trans Huey and another 1.5 Hours on the attack huey...
Another excellent pilot is called nk87 he is usually on the TG server he is in the PR CATA clan, He taught me a lot of things.

I mean I might be the best pilot in PR but that doesnt mean I tell everybody about it... just kidding though I am pretty good I took 3 Aviation Classes in High School. Im actullay planning on enlisting as a warrant officer in the army.
