Acog/SUSAT/1P29 different aiming types?

Post by E4$Y »

Hello all.

I think ACOG's, SUSAT's and 1P29's are great when it comes to a medium - long range firefights, but they really suck when it comes to CQB. So the thing that got stuck on my mind for a pretty long time is to have something like 2 types of aiming with them:

First would be the usual one as it is now with a black screen all round it and with a zoom in.

And the second one would be like it is now with aimpoints or ACOG's in CoD 4. It would be perfect for CQB.

I don't know if you understood me well, so if you havent - I'll try to explain it more clearly. Sorry if this is a resugestion.

-Easy.

I don't get how your going to un-zoom the ACOG...you'll look into it but it'll still zoom no matter how far back you hold your head.

Been suggested before, someone suggested being able to use the ironsights situatued on the top of the scopes. However these are usually used in case of emergencies i.e. the scope cracking or breaking.

I think the response was pick which you want, scope or ironsights, so you can't have your cake and eat it.

Well i don't wan't to un-zoom it. I just want to have it like aimpoint: A bit further from the screen and without black screen around it so you could get some use of it in CQB.

I'm not saying anything about having ironshights and ACOG togerther. Please read my post one more time.

Well then why bother with two types? Makes no sense...

The scope will always magnify what you're looking at. That's how they work. Whether you can see stuff around the outside or not doesn't change that. So I don't get why you want it?

Just don't scope in while in CQC, fire from the hip or better yet, get a buddy in your squad who has irons or an aimpoint to go ahead of you...

Teamwork conquers all problems.

Well it does. If i can see outside i know better where is my enemy at + it takes less time to zoom in. IMO it would be more realistic and useful.

what he is asking is to be able to see around the acog while zoomed in, instead of blackness, but alas this cannot be done, as the whole screen is 4x zoomed when looking through an acog, so the black border is there to stop you seeing everything around the scope at the scopes magnifications
